But high temperatures over the <br>past couple of years made these rooms increasingly uncomfortable. <br>So, we were delighted to learn of Fresh Air Sash Cord Repair, Inc. in Portland <br>that restores stuck windows to their original working condition. This entails a lot <br>of careful detailed work to free-up the windows by removing the lead paint, <br>re-balancing the original weights and installing new cords. Patty Spencer,  <br>the owner, and her assistant worked like surgeons. They set up an air-tight <br>enclosure in each room to contain the lead paint. Vacuums were on <br>almost all the time for further safety. Different electric tools were used <br>for different tasks to minimize damage to the windows. The outcome <br>is fantastic! All seven windows she repaired now work perfectly.  <br>There is nothing like a window that opens for cross ventilation <br>on a hot day. "We couldn't be happier. Chris arrived right on time and did an exceptional job! We were replacing a greased over 1962 vented, under cabinet hood fan that hadn't worked in YEARS! As it turned out the person who installed it in 1962 did a rinky **** job so my husband and I were glad we didn't tackle the job. It was quite a job but Chris knew exactly what he was doing and was able to remove it and without any damage. He installed the new one perfectly. It looks amazing and it'll be SO nice having a working fan again. Chris did an amazing job keeping the area clean which was a challenge I'm sure with the messy old fan he was working with. "Brian's great -- he actually came to our home on New Years Day as scheduled to do the work (he's a hard worker),  but the wind storm that day knocked out the electricity in our neighborhood. He waited a while to see if the electricity would go back on but after about 30 minutes it had not so we rescheduled for 5:30 pm Fri 1-8-16. He did a great job and now our shower which was initially installed 5 years ago looks like new!  I've recommended Brian and Grout Pro to two other people now. I highly recommend him. <br /> <br />"
