"Heartwood was recommended by Reico Kitchen and Bath in Springfield, VA, my cabinet supplier. I'd originally considered engineered quartz but when three styles I chose turned out to be backordered I took a fresh look at the Corian offerings and chose a Private Collection style in Clamshell. The material is one and a half inches thick with the plywood backing so it replicates the solid look of stone countertops, even around the sink, where Heartwood also built it up. I have gotten so many compliments on it, especially from people who don't realize there are alternatives to granite. I give kudos to my Heartwood office contact Stephanie, who was so helpful in sending photos, and my installer Paul. The work is beautiful. <br />"

"George was very helpful and did an outstanding job for me. I originally thought I wanted a blind corner cabinet, but he helped me see that another option was better suited for me. One of the double cabinet installations required that he remove the post between the doors. He carefully sanded and stained the spot where it was removed to make it blend with the wood. I would definitely use Shelves Genie again and request George."

"Outstanding customer service from beginning to end. Prior to starting work met with us both at their store and at our home and then they prepared detailed plans and provided estimate for work to be performed. All work was completed on time and within budget. Paul and Dominic provided onsite oversight and management of the various crews that performed the work. They carefully removed old cabinets so that we could reuse in garage and basement for additional storage. Started with installation of cabinets and island, then installed granite counters/island, and then ceramic flooring. Electrician also installed undercounter lights and outlets. Due to appliance vendors backlog for downdraft granite installer needed to return to cut space for cooktop and downdraft. This phase was done perfectly allowing the appliance vendor to install the blower and induction cooktop. Paul coordinated all work and was very responsive. Always returned my phone calls with 1--2 hours. Both Paul and Dominic closely monitored work performed. GREAT JOB! Highly recommend. "We are extremely happy with the remodel performed by Virginia Kitchen and Bath and have already recommended them to several friends. We planned our remodel for late September and obtained four quotes from different contractors in early June and signed the contract in July. Virginia Kitchen and Bath was not the cheapest but were fairly priced based on what we wanted done. We chose them because they were able to accommodate our schedule, incorporate our needs and successfully anticipated and addressed some of the difficulties that we faced. There were no surprise costs! WORK DONE: They removed all existing cabinets, redesigned the layout (moved electrical, gas and water connections, got the permits!) and installed flooring, cabinets with granite counter tops and new lighting. The design team (Leon and Bo) was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. They came to our home a couple of times and met with us a couple of times in their office to design and adjust the layout based on what we were looking for. They showed us a 3-D rendering of what everything would look like before we finalized selections. All materials and appliances were selected and ordered in July. Work started the third week in September and was finished 2.5 weeks later. Crew: I would say that 85% of the work was done by crew supervisor and two workers. They were extremely punctual, meticulous, worked to completion and it showed on the quality of the final product. Trash was removed regularly from the premises."

He starts by creating realistic 3D computer designs - showing you ahead of time how the project will look while making changes you suggest. He then guides the process along expertly, helping to pick materials and fixing any seemingly impossible problems you may come up with. The cabinets are the finest we have ever seen, and the workmanship and service is too. Our penthouse was one of six homes chosen for the 2017 Reston Home Tour. The event planners chose a photo of our awesome new Model Home Look master bath to advertise the home tour in Reston magazine."
