"I highly recommend this company. Jeff Mottern and his team did a fantastic job on my project. I live in Eastern Loudoun/Broadlands and did my research to find a contractor with solid masonry experience. Angie's List was one of the resources I used for my research. Jeff's company gets very good reviews on Angie's List...but the key for me was picking a company that made me feel confident about my choice. The estimate process was straight forward...Jeff walked the site with me, I shared my vision...Jeff made recommendations, and provided a detailed overview of the work to be completed. The quote for the job was completed at the same time and was reviewed with me before leaving. I was confident that Jeff's team would be able to complete my project. After hiring Mottern Masonry and scheduling the project, a dedicated team was assigned to support my project with a Foreman. The same team supported my project from start to finish. Working with stone is an artisan trade and it shows in the work they do and the product they use. Each stone was hand placed and cut to fit at our job site. The job included pouring a concrete slab and installation of retaining walls as well as extending a downspout drain. The overall project size is close to 500 Sq Ft. I really wanted the materials to complement the existing deck...and I am very happy with the recommended choices that Jeff made. Even though I was not under a deadline for the project...Jeff's team estimated 2 weeks and stuck by that schedule. Very competent and very professional. Overall....the end to end process with Jeff's company was straightforward. The payments made for the project matched the quotes and there were no surprises. Once again, I highly recommend Mottern Masonry and would hire Jeff's company again."

"I had previously hired ET Contractors for tree removal work and now wasnted a paver patio installed. Julio Excobar came out and provided a very competitive price, and included a firepit in he plan. His team showed up as promised. The work was done beautifully, and the site cleaned up. Additionally, Julio's team used the stones from an old patio and installed a walkway to our deck. The project looks better than was hoped for. I will hire ET Contractors again for my my next need,"

"I am very pleased with the work from Elijah, his team led by Victor, and Cassella Landscaping. I hired them to replaced old rotting timbers of the wood trim of the yard of my townhouse. I have never hired a hardscaping contractor and most photos from others are of stone work. After emailing a few contractors, Elijah was very prompt to respond but I ended up going with a different contractor because our schedules lined up sooner. This ended up being a disaster - we ended up having the first contractor pull up the poorly laid timbers so we could start over from scratch. I ended up reaching out to Elijah again, and he was so professional and courteous. He answered all my questions, gave me multiple quotes, and was flexible with the price after our neighbors decided they did not want us replacing the timbers that were on their property line. Elijah worked us into their schedule promptly, and his crew paid great attention to detail, even offering to fill in the gap in our driveway left by installing the timbers straight with asphalt! His crew led by Victor was very communicative, checking in with me in the middle of the project to make sure I was satisfied before proceeding further. One issue I had with the first contractor I worked with was he cut awkwardly small pieces of wood to save on buying more wood. Victor cut nice long piece - and even went out to buy another plank of wood in the middle of the project to make sure it looked nice. They definitely do not cut corners! The price they quoted was higher than the first contractor, but I felt it was reasonable, and they definitely are worth it, especially given how professional and responsive they were to work with, and their expertise and attention to detail during the installation. Overall, I can't recommend them enough! I will definitely be reaching out to them again if any other projects come up!"

"We had a 4-5 ft retaining wall that was inadequately constructed for our site and finally collapsed. Mr. Minor responded to my search for a contractor and promptly came out to assess the situation. It was determined that we needed larger blocks than what had been used previously for the main wall and a 2nd terraced wall to better divert the hillside water flow, using the original blocks . This project required an extensive regrading of the yard, a very difficult process because of the close proximity of our screened porch to the hillside. Mr. Minor, using his own equipment, managed to carefully avoid any damage to the deck structure in the limited space. After completion of the regrading, Mr. Minor and his crew skillfully built the new walls, following the natural curves of the hill. They carefully reseeded all the lawn areas, replaced the bushes, and cleaned up the area. They are a very hard working group, professional and reliable. The end result is simply stunning - so much more than we could have imagined! Very happy with the results and plan to use Minor Concrete Works for future projects."

"It took 3 months from the estimate, working with the insurance company, ordering material and getting a date to install the roof. Omega did not do a good job of cleaning up. I called them, and they came back out to complete the cleanup. Additionally, they cut my internet cable. It took almost 3 weeks to get this resolved. The sales person did not explain to me that they would cut cables and I would be responsible for having the cable company to reconnect, and Omega would reimburse me for the charges."

I got s visit the next day to look the project over. While here he evaluated several trees and told me what he could do to enhance their existence as well as to protect my property.
