"When I first contacted Haven Hardwoods, I spoke with Andrew's wife, who was very helpful and reassuring on the phone and said she'd have Andrew get back to me, which he did promptly later that evening.  I then sent him some photos of the mess that was completely stuck to our oak floors beneath the carpet and padding that we had in our LR/DR, and he assured me that the removal of the old, sticky padding was no problem.  This was after I talked to three other providers--one who never provided an estimate, one who wanted to charge an extra thousand dollars to remove the sticky padding on top of the regular refinishing costs, and one who took one look at the pics I sent and then said he didn't want the job.  Andrew quoted me a very fair price, much better than other quotes I received from the previous contractors I spoke with, and we scheduled a date to begin (March 23).  He went over with me how long the job would take and some other specifics, such as stain types and finishes.  The morning of the 23rd, he and his crew showed up promptly at 8:00, just as he said they would, and he provided a detailed invoice to my husband outlining the price per square foot and other specifics of the job.  By the time I got home from the work that day, the floors were sanded down to bare wood and they looked lovely, even with no finish, and had very few marks or stains.  Also, the guys made sure that plastic sheeting was hung over the kitchen entrances and the stairs/hallway, so that no dust would get into other areas of the house.  Over the next day and a half, Andrew and his crew applied the stain my husband and I chose and then applied the poly finish, and cleaned up all the dust and mess involved with the project.  Our floors look absolutely gorgeous--honestly, Andrew made this whole process streamlined and pain-free, and he delivered everything exactly as promised when we initially spoke and scheduled the job--right down to the estimate that he gave me.  Andrew responds in a timely manner to phone calls and emails, and he and his crew were punctual, professional, and delivered a fantastic finished product.  We're so thrilled to finally be able to have the hardwood floors that were hiding under old carpets.  Our whole second floor has hardwood under carpet as well, and when we decide to have the three bedrooms and hallway refinished, we won't need to vet a contractor because we've already decided that we'll be calling Haven Hardwoods. <br />"

"We hired Kirk and his team after getting estimates for our bathroom remodel from 9 different pros. The estimate from Global General Contractors was very good. Kirk contacted me so quickly that I was still on this website researching the pros when he called. He came out to give the estimate very quickly and got back to us quickly. <br /> When we decided to hire this team, they were ready to get to work as soon as the materials came in which was in about a week or so. <br /> We had been told by most of the other pros that it would take 3-5 days to remodel our bathroom, tub, tub surround, toilet, floor and subfloor. Kirk and his crew managed to get this done in one day except for some drywall work that had to wait on drying time. He was back the next day, as promised, to finish the drywall. <br /> And, as we had problems with very cold well water causing condensation on our toilet and had planned on having a mixer valve installed to bring some hot water into the cold before it got to the toilet tank...Kirk and his team came up with a new creative solution for our condensation issue that was better than what we had planned. <br /> They gave suggestions but no hard sell. They had great attitudes and a wonderful work ethic that you rarely see anymore. We could tell by his attitude and work that Kirk is a perfectionist and really enjoys his work and prides himself on a job well done. Over $2000.00 free delivery. Otherwise it's $65.00 for delivery. They will put everything in thr garage for you. <br />"

"The owner came out to see me, performed things I needed done without extra charge, personable, kind.  His crew was just as great as he was.  Performed extra work for just the cost of what my insurance company covered.  The workers were the happiest crew I had ever seen.  They worked as a team, never wasted a moment's time, cleaned up all of the mess and actually left things better than they found it in.  I cannot tell you what a great experience it was having this crew and the owner at my home.  I showed the owner something totally unrelated to my roof and one of his workers fixed the problem for me.  I am a single senior lady, and I was treated with great respect and home-grown neighborly kindness.  I thanked every one of the workers for the beautiful job they did, and every one of them thanked me for the work.  I recommend them highly to anyone and would not hesitate to hire them for any other work I needed done around my home ever.  Being a single woman, it is difficult to trust people.  These are people you can trust.  I cannot say enough about their enthusiasm, their love of their job, their teamwork, respect for the peope they are working for and their property and respect for each other.  HIRE THEM!!!!"
