Customers say: True professional

"Boris arrived promptly and assessed the problem with my door and told me how he would fix it like new. He did just that. I then showed him a problem with a cabinet door and he fixed that as well. I found his pricing fair, excellent work and will definitely call him again for similar issues."

"I initially had a great experience with this construction company, but things quickly went downhill. Communication became terrible, with incompetence and a complete lack of responsiveness. To make matters worse, they started subcontracting work to people who were clearly unqualified. The quality of work dropped drastically, and it became obvious that the subcontractors didnâ t know what they were doing. I expected a professional job but ended up with constant frustration, unprofessional behavior, and subpar results. I eventually had to stop them from continuing, as it was clear this project was beyond John and Sherry's capacity. They bit off more than they could chew. I would not recommend this company if you're looking for reliability and quality. For any interested parties, Iâ m more than willing to share the full story. Also, the reviews on this business arenâ t legit as well. Times and dates arenâ t adding up."

"First of all, the installers were very knowledgeable and professional, they took down my old mirror carefully without any damage at all, then installed my new beautiful mirror which I love. Makes my bathroom look amazing and sexy at the same time. The installers Zura and Gia were very friendly and trustworthy as well. They took their time and made sure that I was satisfied with their work, which I was very impressed. I will be doing more business with Coby Glass in the future. They will be helping me with my kitchen project next. "

"I had a serious sewer clog issue at home, and I’m so glad I chose this plumbing service. The technician arrived on time, was polite, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. He quickly diagnosed the problem, explained everything clearly, and fixed the sewer efficiently without any mess or damage. The price was fair and transparent with no hidden fees. The work quality is excellent, and my drain has been working perfectly ever since. I highly recommend this reliable and trustworthy plumbing service to anyone in need. Great job! "

FAQs for door or window screens install or repair projects in Brooklyn, NY

Most off-the-shelf screens come in fixed sizes, ranging from 18 inches by 20 inches to 36 inches by 74 inches, which fit the vast majority of residential windows. If your opening falls outside that range or has a unique shape, you’ll need a custom screen built to the exact measurements. Going custom ensures a secure fit, a solid barrier against bugs, and a clean, finished look.

The decision to repair or replace your screen depends on the extent of the damage. Small holes or tears in otherwise solid mesh can be patched, and a sturdy frame usually doesn’t need to go anywhere. However, once the frame is bent or the mesh is brittle and fraying in several spots, replacement becomes a more sensible option—and often proves to be less costly in the long run. Take a close look at both parts before making a decision.

To rescreen a window, start by prying out the old spline, then lift the torn mesh from the frame. Lay the new screen over the frame, allowing about an inch of excess on all sides, and hold it in place while pressing fresh spline into the groove with a roller. Check that the mesh is taut—many pros rest a small brick on it while they work—then trim the overhang with a utility knife.

Most window screens last for 10 to 12 years. Time, sun, and weather gradually make the mesh brittle, so you’ll start to see sagging, rips, or thinning spots that let bugs get through. Check the screens each season; if the mesh crumbles or the frame warps, it’s time to replace them to keep air flowing and pests outside.

Most pros can swap out a screen in 10 minutes to an hour. A quick pop‑in replacement goes fastest, while fitting new mesh into an existing frame or working on a hard‑to‑reach upper window adds time. Either way, plan for at least a few extra minutes per screen so the installer can verify the fit and ensure the spline is seated correctly.
