"'m sorry, I didn't answer earlier; I did not see this email until last Thursday, although I was looking for it. When I first spoke to he told me he can only come tomorrow at 7:30 in the morning to see the job and to discuss what he will do and give me a contract. I was reluctant to have him come this early beacause my son and husband would not be available but i agreed because I figured he was just coming to look. He came early and looked only in one place instead of looking around the whole house and told me that he is sure that I have a raccoon problem because of the opening in the eaves. He told me he wants to cover the hole with chicken wire and a one-way door and the raccoons will leave through the exit. I tried disputing this idea, but before we drafted a contract he went to work patching up the hole. It probably took around 20 minutes and he claimed he was finished. I was all alone, early in the morning for me, when i couldn't think straight, so I just wanted to finish up with him. I said the job was guaranteed for a full year so I asked him hw much I owed him and I paid him $800 cash. And he gave me a receipt marked "raccoon" and charged me the full price for trapping a raccoon, which he never did. When my son, who lives with me appeared, he was furious. He said the problem stemmed from a different hole, and the hole that he patched up was originally a small hole which he may have enlarged to convince me that I have racoons. I undersood that ithe same treatment for racoons would also solve the sqirrel problem. My son called him and lost his temper while confronting him with accusations that he was scamming us. He got insulted and hug up on him. The next day I called him and told him there was another hole to tackle, so he agreed to come the next day. He did come, and I showed him where the hole is. He saw that it would be quite difficult to access it. In the meantime, my son came out and tried to talk to him. The conversation got rowdy, he got offended, and, in short, refused to deal with us and ran away. Nothing was accomplished and he refused to set up some traps, which he could have easily done inside my house because I have trap doors to the eaves. We have done it in the past and were successful. That took place last week, and since then, I am at my wits' end. We have several squirrels running around in the attic, and I cannot call a roofer until I get rid of them. "I live in a co-op building in Washington Heights. Green Earth is the exclusive extermination service that our co-op uses and our building is infested with mice and a variety of different roaches. It's a really bad situation and *no one* in my building is happy with the service that we're getting, but that's not why I'm writing this bad review. I'm writing because I had a particularly bad experience with Green Earth after they were hired by my building's management company to do mouse mitigation in my apartment. In short, the service itself was poor and nothing has changed in terms of the infestation in my housing unit - again, poor service is par for the course with these guys and is not why I'm writing. What really upset me is that Green Earth would not divulge any details of what it found in my apartment in terms of mouse activity nor would they divulge what compounds or substances that may have been spread around to mitigate the mouse problem when they were here. The explanation for their secrecy, from three rude people that reply to emails there, is that because the management company itself was the client that hired Green Earth, they believe that they do not have to tell me what pest control treatments were used that day in the apartment that I own. Apparently Green Earth takes its bureaucratic and self-assigned paper work obligations so seriously that they feel that they have an absurd duty to cloak pest control findings and, more importantly, the treatments that Green Earth uses, secret from the residents of housing units that it treats when they are hired by co-op boards or building managers to treat individual housing units. I've got a two year old kid and I just want to know what they may or may not have spread around my apartment and they won't tell me. To me, that is totally unacceptable."

"Beware, tried to rip off my elderly parents. My parents entered into a MONTHLY contract with them for pest control. So they showed up at beginning of month to install some bait stations and said they would be back in a few weeks to check they were installed correctly. WE ARE STILL IN THE SAME MONTH. The tried to double charge the month of July to follow up on the initial installation. They kept saying "it's a monthly charge" and we told them WE HAD PAID FOR THIS MONTH... and then when we SHOWED THEM that we had already paid for July they changed to story to a "new fee".... There are other businesses that are not shady, use them and stay away from "knockout""
