If my refrigerator goes bye bye, they will replace it for free. They are very professional. We have had them for years. We used them at our other house also. I think it was the air conditioner that went out. They replaced it, the whole thing. They were recommended to us by somebody who's been with them for years. And, like thank god because a year later the damn air conditioner went out. So we were able to use it."

"Mr. Duncan responded immediately to my call to replace a leaking 50 gal. water heater discovered on return from a vacation. He came out on that Saturday morning and replaced the water heater with an advanced model that reduced emissions. The cost was very reasonable and he did not charge extra for coming out on a weekend.  Mr. Duncan was very polite, thorough in his work, and was obviously concerned that our family needed to have hot water, and he did an exceptional job. I would recommend him highly and would use him again.

"Company owner installed sliding, mirrored closet doors. He was personable, professional, and a passionate perfectionist. He directed his clean-up worker to clean up debris as he worked. Day two: Owner called and told me name and time that his bathroom tile worker would arrive. Tile guy was friendly, courteous, and invited my suggestions on the pattern layout of the tile. He installed new toilet and purchased an additional wax ring needed. He left floor polished & area clean. Day three: Owner brought over his electrician. He was friendly, explained his work as he completed. He too asked my opinion on placement of lights before install. I had purchased wrong dimmer switch & light bulbs. He purchased correct items and refused my offer to pay for them. He said, "I've already been paid." He checked wiring in adjoining rooms before he left. Owner returned to inspect all phases of work done. He was attentive to details and appeared driven to inspire quality work only(!) from his team."

"As you would expect, the air conditioning compressor quit start when the temperature was in excess of 100 degrees during the afternoon. REO responded to my call for help the same day I contacted them. The technician was extremely professional and determined that i had a bad capacitor. As a result, my bill was only $241.75. Things could have been much worse. In additional to replacing the capacitor, the technician took the time to thoroughly clean the unit, particularly the condensor, so that the unit would run more efficiently. REO's service that day was terrific. I could not have been happier and would definitely use them again. REO receives my highest recommendation.

FAQs for appliance (microwave oven) installation and replacement projects in Brownsville, CA

A pro can finish the job in one to three hours. Countertop models are the quickest, but built-in, drawer, and over-the-range units take longer because the installer may need to run a new outlet, modify cabinets, or add venting. Any add-ons can push the timeline closer to the three-hour mark. Hiring a licensed installer ensures the wiring is safe and the appliance operates at peak performance.

Because an over-the-range microwave doubles as a range hood, it needs proper venting. You can opt for a recirculating model that filters and recirculates air back into the kitchen, or a ducted unit that exhausts outdoors. Are you unsure which route suits your cooking style? Ask your installer for guidance before making a purchase.

Only microwaves labeled “over-the-range” have the built-in venting and lighting that’s necessary for safe, code-compliant use above a stove. Countertop models don’t have those safeguards. Before you swipe your card, have a licensed microwave installer confirm you’re choosing the right unit for the space and ensure compliance with local codes.

It’s best not to install a countertop microwave in your cabinets. Countertop models aren’t designed for use in an enclosed cabinet, and blocking those vents can trap moisture or even create a fire hazard. A built-in or drawer microwave is designed for tight spaces. Run your plans by an installer to make sure you’re buying the right style for the spot.

You don’t need an electrician if the outlet already meets the microwave’s power needs and sits in the right spot. In that case, you’re good to go ahead with the installation. If the outlet is undersized, outdated, or too far away, hire a licensed electrician to install a new one and ensure everything is code-compliant.

With routine care, most microwaves last between five and 10 years. To help them reach their maximum lifespan, wipe up spills immediately, wash the grease filter periodically, avoid using metal dishware, and close the door gently. Those simple habits reduce malfunctions and keep the appliance running smoothly for the long haul.
