"I've used ready services for years and I'm always happy with them. They're always available for emergencies, they called to let you know they're on the way, and the job is always professional. Bryant arrived on time and did a very nice job. Greatly appreciated."

"I was very impressed with Nathan White. He took the time to call the manufacturer and stayed on the line for a while to find out out coverage. He was friendly, thorough and kind. I would continue to use Penguin just because he was the service tech. Good job!"

"It went very well! I had to re do all my plumbing lines to my home due to them being old and roots intruding the plumbing. The technicians were so informing and answered all my questions! They even showed me different options I had as well as introduced me to the financing program they have! I definitely would recommend them to all my family and friends!"

"Avoid ASAP Plumbing ? Bait & Switch Pricing, "Theatrics," and Zero Accountability I unfortunately have to give ASAP Plumbing a 1-star review. If I could give them negative 5 stars, I would. We had two technicians, Jose Horlacher and Josh Karl, come out to check a leaking outdoor spigot and a wobbling toilet. From the start, it was nonsense theatrics, particularly from Josh (the senior tech). He tried to scare us into unneeded repairs, claiming our plumbing was so old he "couldn't touch it"?which is absurd, as the house was only built in 1996. When he lifted the toilet, he claimed it was "the worst news ever," stated the flange was off-center, and told us he would need to break and replace the tile to install a new flange. He used this fear-mongering to justify a massive $2,900 quote. Picture of full review attached."

"November 2023 we hired GB for total plumbing/electrical in my mobile home. We spent $25,000. Big mistake do not use GB. Rude technicians/overpriced. We paid for lifetime of yearly free inspections for electrical and plumbing. Today the supervisor terminated us. I did not receive a possible explanation as to why. Except possibly I was told I asked too many questions that they could not answer. Very disrespectful individuals? shop elsewhere?"

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Buckeye, AZ

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
