He and I both arrived 15 minutes early and inspected the area to be painted. He noticed a  drywall crack and said he would make the repair and no extra charge. "Brian was able to fit the job in just a few days.  We discussed applying two coats and if the job required more time than two days, he would call me to authorize more time.  He arrived promptly and was courteous.  He proceeded to mask the woodwork and carpet, which worked to protect both.  
I was out-of-state when Brian worked.  He painted one coat throughout and did not call to put in more time or ask my opinion of the work.  As a result of having only one coat, there are many places where the old mustard color from the previous homeowner is not completely covered.  I am going to have another painter apply a second coat.
