"Dave called ahead to let me know he was on the way, and arrived on time. He removed his shoes when coming into the house. A squirrel had entered our home though a hole it had made in the patching compound where the flue enters the chimney. Dave was prepared for a potential animal removal situation, and took every precaution to make sure we were not going to have an animal getting into our house. He check several places where the squirrel could have been hiding, but it appeared the critter had check out before he showed up. Dave cleaned some debris out out of the furnace flue, and even unclogged our condensation drip tube (don't know what to call it). I had to leave in the middle of the job, and he explained what he was going to do when I was gone. When I arrived back at the house he had completed the job within the time frame he had projected. He installed a stainless steel cap on our chimney, and patched the hole the squirrel had made. When I checked out the work in our basement I was impressed, and he even cleaned up the area where the squirrel had made a mess. The price was more than fair considering the professional work that was done. Dave was very thorough, friendly, and did an excellent job all around. Wow! These are the people you want to work on your chimney. We heard some noises a week later, and I called Dave back to see if he needed to come back out. He explained it was likely the squirrel trying to get back in, and the sound was echoing down the furnace flue. It appears that was the case. He offered to stop by, and check it out to make sure. I explained I was satisfied with that answer, and would just check on it once in a while. So far no other problems."

"This was a roofing deal from Everlasting Exteriors. I met with Jim Davidson, owner of Everlasting Exteriors prior to the job to go over what was involved and included and the cost. Jim was very up front with the  details and was fully prepared with house dimensions and material requirements before coming to the house. On the scheduled day of the job, he and his crew showed up promptly at 7 am to start. The supplier of the shingles arrived with a boom truck to lift the shingle packs directly to the roof, saving time while maintaining safety and consideration for the property. Jim supplied his own trailer for the old shingles so there was no dumpster sitting for days in the driveway. Prior to starting the job, Jim's crew laid tarps around the house and over the gardens to protect the plants. His crew worked steadily and professionally tearing off the shingles, inspecting the roof decking for condition (which did not require any boards to be replaced), re-nailing loose nails, applying the ice guard material then installing the new Architectural shingles, in the color we chose, with new roof vents, and flashing. Afterwards, Jim and I went up on the roof to inspect the work which looked very good. Jim and his crew were done about 3 pm with the installation, and a thorough cleaning up around the house. Jim hauled the trailer of old shingles away and was done completely by 4 pm. The job went very well and I was happy with the way it turned out, with Jim's and his crew's professionalism and attention to detail. Jim was checking in with me during the day letting me know the progress and whatever they found, and what they were doing. "I'm so happy that we hired Walter to restore our decrepit chimney. We have an old brick house and the chimney is right smack in the middle in the front of the house and I was worried we'd have to tear it down and then have to deal with trying to match 70 year old brick. Walter suggested an awesome solution. He replaced the bricks at the top courses with new brick and was able to save and reuse the bricks from the top courses to replace cracked ones that were more visible towards the base.
