"A friend suggested CMM, for the moisture problems in my basement. I am so happy with the results, it is like a new basement! They actually corrected, and cleaned the mold from my walls and sealed them, at a reasonable price. They are the best!"

"It was fantastic. This crew work so hard all day long. Each crew member knew his job and they seemed like a finely tuned military unit. The work was completed in one day and the property looked as though they weren't even there. It has been two and a half years since this work was done and there hasn't been so much as a drop of water in our basement. Could not be happoer with the work. <br />"

Clay drain tile removal. FACT: With WNY being an older development in most areas, clay drain tile was used in the basements to lower the water table. Over time, clay deteriorates which leaves you with cracked, broken and defective drain tile. This leads to water backing up into your basement causing mold, mildew & damage to your foundation.

"The project: Frank&#39;s Basement Systems installed new drain tile around about 75% of my basement. They also added their BrightWall in a few areas. Pros: First of all, the project was completed, and I&#39;m very pleased to say that the drain tile seems to be doing it&#39;s job. When it rains I&#39;m not seeing any water in the formerly-problematic corner of the basement, so that&#39;s a big success. I&#39;ll add that our salesperson Ray was an absolute all-star to work with. He did not try to upsell us, and he stayed in communication after the job to make sure we were satisfied. He really made us feel like he wanted what was best for us and our home, and we tremendously appreciated that. Cons: The whole crew called out on the second day what was supposed to be a two-day job, so it ended up taking much longer than we hoped. That second day was a Friday, so we were stuck with the basement a mess over the weekend and into the next week, which was tough. The drain tile had to go under the stairs to the basement and those stairs were absolutely demolished and had to be replaced. They told me while they were on-site that it was going to be my responsibility to replace them which left me without the bottom three stairs to my basement for a couple of weeks, but ultimately they connected me with a contractor who put new stairs in for us. During the job they accidentally caused a leak in one of my steam pipes, but they also helped me find a company that would replace that as well. Lastly, they left the basement a dusty mess. In fact, we still have to wear specific shoes into the basement because even after vacuuming and mopping a few times, it is still so dusty, and that dust gets tracked to the rest of our house if we leave our &#34;basement shoes&#34; on and go anywhere else. Overall: Frank&#39;s gave us a good price and, again, we sincerely appreciated Ray&#39;s guidance before and after the job. The most important thing is that the drain tile is working, so despite a few challenges we are satisfied with the outcome. We will be calling Ray back in a couple of years when we need to do the rest of the basement...hopefully some of the dust will be gone by then!!"

"Shaun was not only on time, but was early. He was extremely personable and professional. He gave my basement a thorough inspection and made some recommendations. We then went outside to look at the foundation and the areas around the basement windows (my area of concern). Shaun pointed out some problems, explained how he would remedy the situation, and then provided a written estimate. He answered all of my questions and left me with the estimate and no pressure to book today.  <br /> I appreciated his demeanor, candor, and professionalism. I appreciate the time he took answering my questions and addressing my concerns. While I didn't book today, I have a feeling that once I get a few other ducks in a row I will be calling him in regards to performing the work talked about. <br />"

FAQs for foundation, basement or crawlspace waterproofing / encapsulation projects in Buffalo, NY

The most affordable way to waterproof your basement is with interior methods like waterproof paint, costing between $1 and $8 per square foot, or silicate concrete sealers priced at $4 to $6 per square foot. However, these solutions are only suitable for certain issues. If your basement moisture is due to more serious problems like a cracked foundation, you'll need more extensive (and costly) repairs.

Absolutely! Waterproofing your basement is a smart investment that can increase your home's value. By keeping your basement dry and free of moisture problems, you protect your home's structural integrity and make it more appealing to potential buyers. Plus, taking proactive measures now can prevent costly water damage repairs down the line.

The time required to waterproof a basement depends on the selected method. Some approaches to interior waterproofing, like paint or sealant, can be completed within a day. Installing new drains or weeping tiles will need at least two to three days of labor. Any forms of exterior waterproofing that require you to excavate land will require an additional three days of work to prepare the ground.

Yes, basement waterproofing can significantly increase your home's value. A dry, leak-free basement is a strong selling point for potential buyers, enhancing your property's desirability and market price. Investing in professional waterproofing not only protects your home's structural integrity but also ensures a healthier living environment by preventing mold and mildew growth.

Waterproofing both the interior and exterior of your basement offers the best protection against moisture. Exterior waterproofing stops water from penetrating your foundation, while interior methods manage any moisture that does enter. If you must choose one, exterior waterproofing is generally more effective, as it prevents water from reaching your home's interior in the first place.
