Parts arrived in a couple of days they scheduled the repair and everything was fixed quick. Total time was less than 5 days and tht included a weekend. Great service and staff were great also. "Technician came to the house and analyzed the problem. It was determined that the cost of repair was over the allowable Choice Home Warranty limit and it should be replaced. Choice Home Warranty issued their replacement cost. This cost was unacceptable and I challenged their figure. After some negotiation I was offered an increased settlement amount. I still balked at their offer but I was told to take it or repair my old microwave. I finally accepted their amount, even though it is still well below what it will cost me to replace the unit. I might add that the existing microwave has the convection feature and I want to replace with same features. The cost that I will receive also does not include any removal, disposal or installation costs. At this time I am debating whether I will continue with Choice Home Warranty or consider other options."

"The technician arrived on time; he put covers over his boots to protect my floors, and went right to work assessing the problem.  Within minutes he had a diagnosis of the problem and explained what needed to be repaired.  He said the ice maker had stripped a nylon gear and needed to be replaced.  After I agreed to the work and cost, he said he had an ice maker unit on his truck and went to get it.  He had it installed and tested in about 10-12 minutes.  He gave me a discount on the unit's cost and labor rate because I was an existing customer.  He had come out previously to solve a different problem on the same refrigerator/freezer.  He was quick, accurate, courteous, and priced right.  In other words, all the things I feel are important in an in-home repair technician.
