"I had a wonderful experience with Alpha Glass. I reached out to several companies who either did not reply or wanted to schedule my project out weeks longer than I wanted. Cristian called me and came to give me a quote on the same day and by the following day he repairs my window! Highly recommend!! And would definitely call him again for future projects. Thanks Alpha Glass!"

"

This is the first daily deal that I've purchased and was more than satisfied.  They guys were great!  They showed up on time, were very professional and most importantly made my wife feel very comfortable.  This is key, as many times she is the one that meets service techs at the house and they don't make her feel comfortable.  She is always worried they will not do what they said they'd do or try to charge her more than expected, etc.  That was not the case with A&A, everything was done to specs and as quoted.  Very satisfied.

They were very professional and showed up with all the tools and equipment they needed.  I had contracted with them for 6 man hours of work, since there were two of them, they stayed the full three hours.  I was concerned they may not be able to get all the work done in the time allotted and it would cost extra to get it done. Not only did they finish in a very timely manner, they then started doing touch up paint on other base board areas, window sills and a topping on a half wall in our dining!  My wife called when they completed the work and said - "It looks like new!"  I recommend A&A paint and remodel without reservation.

"Scott was very responsive and easy to contact via email and/or phone.
The demolition work went smoothly with the workers reporting on time.  They paid close attention to not getting the rest of the house dirty and completed the work quickly.  Work included removal of wall tile and sheetrock surrounding the tub, removal of a sliding shower door, some floor tile removal, and removal of a two-sink vanity and wall mirror.  All debris was removed from the site and the house was left as clean as possible.
The tile work turned out beautifully, but took longer than Scott or I had anticipated (3 days vs 2 days expected) due to circumstances beyond his control.  He was always in touch with us keeping us aware of the status. They applied 13 x 13 tiles to the tub surround and the bathroom floor in a "diamond" pattern with a glass tile accent around the tub. They also grouted the tile and I later applied the grout sealer.
Plumbing work was done in two stages: demolition and installation.
Prior to the demolition work, the plumber arrived on time and quickly performed his tasks which included disconnecting the water supply lines for two sinks and capping the lines to allow easier removal of the vanity.  I removed the toilet myself.  After the demolition work, he returned to raise the shower head pipe and install the new shower valve and pipe for the tub spout.  All work was done professionally and on time.
When the major points of the project were completed the plumber returned to install the 5 new supply-line shutoff valves, two new lavatory faucets and the drain connections for the lavatories, re-install the toilet, and complete the installation of the shower/tub components (drain dressing to match new finish color, spout, valve controls and dressing and shower head.
The plumber was courteous, friendly, prompt and professional. He did his work quickly and conscientiously.
I was very satisfied with my experience with Green Castle and Scott Sheehan.  I would contact them again should I have another project of this type.  Scott was very willing to cooperate with me to achieve the level of service I needed vs the cost that I could afford. I ended up doing many things on my own to bring costs down, but Scott provided a superior level of support when and where I needed it.  It should also be noted that in the middle of the project I took an extended 3 1/2 week trip and Scott was willing and able to work around that also.  His flexibility and professionalism made him a valuable resource for this project that I could not have completed without his help.

FAQs for glass shower door or enclosure repair projects in Burnet, TX

The type of glass shower you choose depends on your household size, lifestyle, and budget. Custom designs and frameless doors will cost more to install and repair. Framed glass shower doors can be a more budget-friendly option.

If your glass shower has many people using it daily, you also want to opt for durable glass options, and you’ll need to stay on top of maintenance and repairs.

Regular cleaning and sealing are key to keeping a glass shower door in its best shape. A glass shower door looks great in modern bathrooms, but when the glass is covered in dried water spots or smudged fingerprints, it can make the entire bathroom look messy.

  • Apply water repellent: Water repellent costs about $5 to $10. Use it to help wick away water droplets from the glass.

  • Squeegee the walls: Keep a squeegee in the shower, and use it to remove water from the glass after each shower; this only takes a few minutes.

  • Weekly cleaning: Each week, use a glass-safe cleaner or a foam cleaning eraser to scrub down glass shower walls.

  • Monthly cleaning: Check caulking and reapply as needed to prevent leaks, particularly for frameless doors. Clean the tracks to prevent the door from sticking.

There are several glass treatment options out there that can make it easier to keep your glass shower door clean. Treatments can help keep soap scum, corrosion, and pesky little fingerprints at bay. You might pay as much as a 30% upcharge on the price of your glass shower door to add a protective coating.

Even with a protective coating, you have to clean your shower. If you are diligent about wiping down shower walls after use and giving the glass a more thorough cleaning every week, you can likely save money and skip the added glass treatment.

If your shower endures heavy use from multiple family members and guests, a protective coating can make it easier to keep the glass spotless.
