"Jesse did an awesome job on my project. He shows up on time and won’t quit until it’s done. No matter how hot it is or how dirty the work gets. There has been zero cracking or chipping. Top notch job at a fair price."

"I got 3 quotes for work that needed to be done on the exterior of my home and took the middle quote. The company that was doing the job was doing a horrible job. New Star Construction was doing some other work in my neighborhood and they came to look at the job. I ended up having them come and fix the bad work from the previous company and I couldn't be happier. They did a great job and are such great people to work with. They are still calling me to follow up to make sure everything is ok."

"Fantastic! Walter (owner) is very professional and skilled in his trade.  He showed up as promised and put in a hard days work everyday. His crew was also great! The concrete patio, shed pad and sidewalks look great, actually turned out better than I could have imagined. I would hire Walter again and again.  This actually isn't my first experience working with WC Masonry. I originally hired them to cut out and replace some broken brick on my ranch home. Again their work was exceptional."

"New Gutters did a great job! The owner Rusty was great to work with and very personable. Joe and his crew did a great job installing the gutters, guards, and the aluminum wrap on all my wood trim. My house looks great and I have got many compliments from family, friends, and neighbors. I would recommend New Gutters to anyone that asked. Great job Rusty and crew!"

"JLK was very timely in coming out to give us a quote to fix our deck that had sunken down and not level. The quote that was given was very detailed in what they expected needed to be done so we knew what to expect. The finished project was fantastic and it looked like a new deck which wasn't an easy task. From leveling a very large deck to realigning the stairs etc. Their workmanship was superior. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a job well done in the end."

"McGâ s was very professional and extremely easy to work with, they were always on top of keeping my driveway cleared whenever there was snowfall. I have a house in a downtown area and even shoveled the sidewalk I will be hiring again this winter."

FAQs for brick or stone siding: repair or partially replace projects in Burton, MI

Stone veneer isn’t a weekend DIY. Even lightweight faux panels are heavy and must be anchored, flashed, and sealed to keep water out. Missteps can lead to cracked stone, leaks, or injuries. A licensed siding contractor arrives with scaffolding, masonry tools, and the know-how to set each piece safely and neatly, giving you a long-lasting, professional finish.

Stone veneer durability is robust when expert installation and proper maintenance are employed. When installed with precision, regularly cleaned, and sealed as required, stone veneer maintains its integrity for 25 to 75 years. Inadequate installation, however, leads to water intrusion and structural issues that compromise its longevity. Consistent upkeep and adherence to quality installation standards ensure decades of reliable performance.

Covering the entire exterior of a home with stone veneer is feasible but comes with a significant cost increase. Full coverage escalates both material and labor expenses due to the additional square footage required. Many homeowners reduce costs by applying stone veneer selectively—such as around entries, foundations, or architectural accents—while still achieving an upscale appearance and enhancing overall curb appeal.

Installing stone veneer over brick or stucco is entirely possible when the underlying surface is stable and properly prepared. The substrate must be clean, dry, and free of any loose material to support a secure application. Additionally, any areas of flaking stucco or deteriorated mortar must be patched and allowed to cure fully before a professional applies the new veneer, ensuring lasting durability.

Stone veneer siding offers a substantial cost advantage compared to full-thickness natural stone. It costs 25% of the price of natural stone because it is manufactured from concrete and lightweight aggregates. This method delivers the genuine appearance of stone while featuring a thinner profile that simplifies shipping, accelerates installation, and consistently reduces material expenses.

For a 250 square foot exterior area, stone siding installation costs range from $9,800 to $18,000, while installing stone veneer costs between $5,000 and $6,000. This clear cost breakdown demonstrates the significant savings achieved with stone veneer, which uses a lighter construction method that minimizes both material and labor expenses. Homeowners benefit from these lower costs while still attaining the attractive look of natural stone.
