"We paid upfront for that and then when they got here, they did a quick reseal job on a small portion of the roof. Then, they wanted another $200 on top of that to purchase a different kind of sealer that they said comes from California. We're in Las Vegas. I get up on the roof too. I may be an old guy, but I still get up and get around. Based on what they were going to do on top of what they already did for $299, we just told them, "You know what, we're going to pass." We decided not to use them again. I can do what they did very easily for a lot less. We just thought that they could come out and fix this leak. I think the leak is fixed now. But, they wanted another $200 to use the right kind of sealer on it, which they should have included in $299. They did just a quick sweep-up of leaves and pine needles. Then they resealed with a sealer that was a black sealer. This is kind of a flat roof in Las Vegas. They should have used something white that was more reflective of the sun and was really what they were asking us pay another $200 to use. In my opinion, they should have done that when they came out and did the first part of the project and they did not. We just decided we don't mind paying but we don't like having people tell us one thing and then they change it to something else once they get here. So we're not going to use them anymore. They were a little pricey for what they did."

"I purchased the service special. He missed the day we had scheduled because he forgot to put it in his book. He came out the next day and he was delayed, though he informed me that he would be late because he had back pain and went to the doctor. I was surprised that he left without telling me he was done.
It's hard to rate the quality of the work he did, but I felt I paid $75 for nothing. 
I understand he was having back pain and having issues, but it was an overall odd experience. He missed an appointment, was late for the next one and then left without going over what he did to me. When I contacted him later, he told me he was kind of embarrassed and said he'd give me a free service when I'm next due, in 2-3 years.
I'll pass on using this business again. I did get the sense he is honest but i ultimately don't think I got any value for my money and it was laughable that he said he'd give me a free service in 2-3 years. I can't wait to call and ask for that. I got no receipt or anything.

"On July 28, 2014, they spent about an hour on our roof.  The entire roof was inspected for broken tiles and tiles that had slipped from their original location.  They reinstalled several roof tiles that had fallen off and reset the slipped tiles.  They inspected and resealed all roof penetrations as necessary.  Found an infestation of ants under a rake tile (roof edge) and recommended that they be removed and that the area in question be repaired.  The quote for that was $465.00. 
We agreed to that price and on August 20, 2014, a two-man team arrived to do the work.  They showed up on time and began work immediately.  They removed the roof tile from the roof edge to a point approximately 36" to 48" inboard from the roof edge.  They removed the flashing from an existing vent pipe and treated the infested area with insecticide.  They cleaned the roof surface and installed new 30-lb. felt underlayment.  They reinstalled the existing roof tile and new roof flashing at the vent penetration.  They reseated and sealed the existing chimney cap.  They painted all vents and flashings.  They provided before-and-after photographs.  The work is warrantied for five years.  
 A day or so after the work was completed we had quite a heavy rain, and there were no leaks, so the work was obviously done correctly.

"Our water heater needed to be replaced and this was my first Angie's List purchase.  $600 for installation including a 40-50 gallon name brand water heater plus they will take away the old one.  We initially wanted to consider a tankless water heater but the price was right and we needed this completed fairly soon as we were on borrowed time.  Just do it, right?  We did and it was completed.  I asked what brand water heater and I researched the brand with negative satisfaction results.  I was not happy but I already bought the offer.  The technician replaced our water heater with a 40 gallon AO Smith brand which was exactly the brand I wanted.  I am happy for that but he wanted an extra $250 for a permit and straps.  Shouldn't that be part of the installation?  My husband made a call to Angie's List and voila, all of the sudden, no extra fee!  But also no permit or straps.  THANK YOU, ANGIE'S LIST!  However.  Is our water heater within code without a permit and without straps?  We don't know but wedo have hot water."

"Long story short I hired someone who didn’t know what they were doing to install French doors well I had to ask them to leave…found Damien Sr & within a couple of days repairs i needed were fixed with no hassle ….. great on time “QUALITY” service was provided… they’ll definitely be my go to here on out"

"I supplied the map and Jung supplied the plaster, framing (molding) and paint. The job took about 4 1/2 hours. Jung said he'd never done this kind of project before....it is hard to imagine it as anything other than a fairly unique idea with few experts around. Well, Jung translated my vision into perfect reality! The framed map is exactly centered on the wall, the framing nicely calked and painted, and provides a stunning home entrance. "The electrical specialist was fast and knew exactly what to do and how to do it. On the other hand the plumbing specialist did not seem to know how to plumb the new kitchen sink and was asking other workers in my kitchen remodel where the cold/hot water lines and did not initially realize he needed a V trap for to reconfigure the sink pipes. When he finally finished nearly 4 hours later and left the sink leaked and had to be called back the next day. He fixed the leak and after he left he forgot to turn on the cold water and only had hot water in the sink. He also installed the faucet the wrong way and had to unscrew and turn it around. I would say if I have electrical work I would not hesitate to call Ren Pro but would definitely pass on any plumbing work. In fairness, they cut the time in half to accommodate for the plumbing mishaps. However, because the plumber left one of his tools, they came back to get it and on the return visit asked for a quote for some other work. They never got back to me."
