"Used a $50 coupon from Angies list. Otherwise the fee would have been $399 which I felt was rather high for the service to remove only one species of ant. However, I have never used a professional exterminator for insects before, so I have no price comparison.
The young man who did the work was on time, conscientious in his work, and very professional in appearance and manner.
Overall he presented a very favorable company image.
He assured me that the chemical, Termidor SC, would not harm my pets in about an hour after application. There seemed to be no ill effects to the animals.
The contract stated that 21 days after application should be allowed for best results. As of this writing, it has been 41 days; and so far, there does not seem to be a sign of carpenter ants within the house, except for dead ones. We still have had small ants in the kitchen, but I understood the application was specific to carpenter ants only.

Mr. Ryan also perfomed a similar service in 10/04/2014 for another residence I own.  No evidence of any entry of rodents since that date.  He also returned on November 4, 2015 to examine the exterior periment and noted that there was no rodent activity found.  The current occupants have not found any evidence of mice/rodents within the interior since the initial service on this property was performed in 2014.
