"We started the process of having a fence (vinyl & chain link) installed. The vinyl install was acceptable. There were a few hiccups with schedules, but it got done. The chainlink was unacceptable and needed to be corrected a total three times. Once the owner and brother were involved, the install issues stopped, but it took them a long time to finish the 3 day project. I singed with the company on 2/7/17 and finished paying in late May."

"Mega Power was great! I hired them to go solar on my house and the solar analyst that came out was very helpful from day one. He was not just simply a sales guy he gave me his personal cell phone that I was able to call anytime if I had questions or wanted updates about my project.
My project was about 6 kW and consisted of 22 panels, each panel was 275 Watts. What I loved about these guys is that all the products they installed were American made products, warrantied for 25 years! Working with Jonathan (our sales guy) was another reason I chose to go with Mega Power. Every step of the way Jonathan was informative, and just professional from day 1. Price quotes with other companies were similar, so I simply chose the company that provided me the best service before signing anything."

"John designed and delivered a great fence, functional, practical and aesthetically appealing. He step up to do the job and took another step forward to problem solve issues we had not foreseen in a practical and effective manner. He is a professional and pleasure to work with."

"Replaced existing wooden privacy fences.  One section was approx. 9 feet on one side of my home and the other section measured approx. 43 feet that separates my property from my neighbors.  Received 5 estimates and HD Fence's quote came in about mid-range of all of them.  Went with HD Fence, because Joan and Allen are great people to work with.  Joan was very prompt and courteous when she returned my call.  She was able to pull my old estimate even though 8 months had passed.
Allen is very knowledgeable and he even comes out and does a portion of the work, which is a plus to know that the owner not only oversees the work, but he's not afraid to get his hands dirty.
One other note - Joan and Allen both were able to ease my neighbors concerns and answer all his questions with the section of fence that separates our properties. Because I live in an HOA community, the fence had to meet certain requirements.
Only bummer was that they do not offer painting services for the fence.  Not a big deal because most of the other companies I spoke with DO NOT offer painting services as well.
Would highly recommend contacting HD Fence for any fence work you may need.

"They did a really great job. The flooring was really good, there were a few problems they had to work around with water damage from an old freezer. Then even put in a little ramp from the kitchen leading into the family room. They enclosed patio was much better than I anticipated. There was some additional work needed becuase the previous one wasn't fully attached to the house. I am very happy with the results."

"To be honest more than anything we were left confused- mostly about how the pricing added up. We emailed Anthony requesting a quote.  He was punctual and met us at our condo.  On first impression I would say he was not a warm person, but he also explained that he had already had 4 quotes done that day and I believe he had one after us.  I get it- he was tired.  As we walked through the first bathroom I felt he was well educated and well experienced,  but I also felt that as I asked about certain ideas I had for the space, that he was weary and somewhat unwilling to do them. A moment or two somewhat bordered on condescending. Main example- built in his and hers wall shelves.  His first thought was to tell me no and that it was a bad idea but then would somewhat consider a way to do it and a way to do it easily.  Telling a client No is usually not a good tactic.  Educating them on what a project would entail usually lets them decide if it's worth it.  Business 101. We explained that we didn't really need a complete reno- just a basic repair, and upgrade to the shower and new tile. Existing countertops and vanity were good. We also explained we had a needs list and a wish list and would like an itemized quote to be able to decide what we could afford now and what we were going to postpone.  We then explained we were also potentially wishing to make a half bath downstairs a full bath and to create a storage space downstairs under the stair case.  Anthony spent about an hour at our condo and said he would get back to us in a couple days with a quote.  This was a Monday.  On Saturday I emailed him to say we hadn't received the quote yet and were wondering if it didn't get sent correctly.  On Monday, he said he would have it to me in a couple hours.  Five hours later it came through.  He briefly explained that the dimensions of the lower bath had held him up as it is a tricky space to work with.  I understand this but there should've been an email just saying it was going to take him a couple more days- I would've understood that but the lack of communication bothered me instantly. The quote was not broken down clearly - it seemed he threw it together. The under stairs storage space was nowhere on the quote.  The downstairs bath I believe was at a reasonable price point for what it would entail.  But the upstairs bath- the one we would apply a "complete remodel" coupon to -was ridiculous.  If you read the coupon it says you basically pay $5K for $9K worth of work/materials. However he priced our not even complete upstairs remodel at over $8000. Yes we verified this was including the coupon, and that he hadn't split the coupon over the two baths. We had already let him know that the tile we would use was inexpensive, so it wasn't the materials that drove up the price. Even if we had done a complete gut on our upstairs bath there is no way it could've been a $13000 project (with the materials we were looking at- I mean- you can always make things more expensive if you want). Anthony did follow up with us to ask about what we thought of the pricing after about a week. This was after a clarification phone call we had made to him after receiving the quote.  We told him we were still looking and eventually found someone else who did a wonderful job at about a $6K price point. I don't think $8000 is a bad price point if it were to include some of the materials.  However for what were were asking for it very much made it seem like a scam.  It surely was a waste of time."

"They were great and they did a great job. I would give them high marks. Based on what they did, the price of the big deal was great. It was so long ago so I do not recall how their responsiveness and punctuality were but they were pretty professional."

FAQs for chain link fence repair or alter projects in Campo, CA

Installing a concrete reinforcement slab significantly boosts the stability and longevity of your chain link fence. This reinforcement creates a strong foundation that protects the fence from erosion, burrowing animals, and high winds. The installation cost is $4 to $10 per square foot, and this robust base minimizes the need for future repairs while extending the overall lifespan of your fence.

Repairing minor damage such as small holes is far more cost‑effective than replacing significant portions of your chain link fence. Minor repairs cost between $100 and $200, while replacing full sections demands an investment of $1,000 to $2,000. For a fence that is 20 years old or older, having an expert assess it now can prevent repeated repair expenses and secure long‑term durability, thereby safeguarding overall fence performance.

If you'd rather remove your chain link fence than repair or replace it, professionals charge between $3 and $5 per linear foot for the job. There may be additional costs involved if there is extra labor needed, like relocating plants or separating the chain-link fence from other existing structures. This also does not include waste disposal fees.

Chain link fences have an average lifespan of 20 years with regular cleaning and maintenance. They stand out as one of the most affordable and durable fencing options available to homeowners and businesses alike. Chain link fences often last five to 10 years longer than comparable wooden fence installations. Chain-link fences made with a vinyl coating often exceed these estimates, providing even greater longevity and weather resistance.
