"Our central air conditioning unit stopped working on a weekday afternoon and the indoor temperature quickly rose to 85 degrees. I called Ragsdale's emergency service after hours. A real person took my information and a service tech called me back within 20 minutes to say that he would be at my house that night. He showed up on time and was courteous and very professional. My unit is 18 years old and had not been cleaned in several years. The tech replaced the capacitor and fan motor, added coolant, cleaned the coils, checked pressure and performed several tests. Repair and clean up took about 90 minutes. He explained to me what he was doing on each step, told me the available repair options and their costs, and gave me pointers on how to spot a faulty unit. Our A/C now blows out colder air than prior to repair. I was very happy with the service and would definitely hire them again."

Zack verified the system I was having installed. They laid down traps on the stairs and down the hall. After they had completed the installation, he showed me the new unit and explained what they have installed. Zack explained the new thermostats installed and they cleaned up before leaving. "I should have gotten other estimates. I was not told prior to them coming out that it was $149 for them to come out and inspect. The $149 did not apply to the work that was done. It cost over $1100 to have 2 fixtures replaced (one was a bathroom light and exhaust), one fixture to be better attached outside on the porch, an electrical box installed on the outside of the house and to fix the connection from the pool pump into the electrical panel. The technician was very knowledgeable and very nice. But the overall cost for the amount of work that was done was very high. The hourly rate came to almost $200/hour. I regret hiring them on the spot without getting other estimates."
