Customers say: Quick response

"I had an excellent experience with Neighborhood Handyman and couldn’t be more satisfied with the service. Jared mounted three televisions for me (75”, 58”, and 42”), and the entire process was seamless from start to finish. He was extremely professional, precise with his measurements, and worked efficiently without sacrificing quality. Everything was installed perfectly and looks amazing. On top of that, he was friendly, respectful, and made the whole experience stress-free. His pricing was very reasonable for the level of work and care he provided. It’s not easy to find someone who is both skilled and trustworthy, but Jared absolutely delivered on both. I highly recommend Neighborhood Handyman to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality service. I will definitely be using him again in the future! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

"The service was excellent! They arrived to pick up the vehicle a day earlier which was great. They delivered the vehicle right to my daughter's door and found a side street to unload. The service was delivered within the time frame given. All of my questions were answered via phone or email and the paperwork was seamless and the price was very reasonable."

"We got 7 estimates.  They were not the cheapest, low-middle actually but they put on gutters as well.   <br /> Excellent crew; cleaned up yard WITH A MAGNET. Very little lawn/landscape damage.  Super hard workers and it was 100 degrees most of the time they were here.  Would recommend to anyone.  My neighbor came over to see what kind of a job they were doing and hired them on the spot to do his roof."

"I'd give him at least a B mark. For what he did, I thought that was a little up there but I'd say it was all right. I got a piece of tile that I think that I'll have him redo and I'm sure he will so I'm pretty well satisfied with the deal. It's B all the way around. I didn't really have a like or a dislike on the guy."

FAQs for shed, barn or playhouse repair projects in Canton, SD

You’ll know it’s time for a new shed roof if shingles curl or buckle, soft spots sag, or water stains appear inside. Moss or other plant growth on the surface is another red flag that moisture has breached the roofing layers. Replacing the roof quickly stops leaks from spreading, protects stored items, and saves you from costlier structural repairs down the road.

Choosing between a flat and a sloped shed roof comes down to climate, budget, and upkeep. A flat roof is cheaper up front, but still needs a slight pitch for drainage. A sloped roof sheds rain and snow more easily, lasts longer, and often needs less maintenance. Weigh your local weather patterns, the look you want, and how much time you’re willing to spend on upkeep before deciding.

A shed roof’s life span hinges on the material you choose and how well you maintain it. Most standard products last 15 to 30 years, while premium picks like slate or clay tile can protect the structure for 50 to 100 years. Regular inspections, fast fixes, and routine cleaning all help you reach the upper end of those ranges and keep your tools and gear dry year-round.
