"Three Brothers Masonry came and did a repair on my chimney. The repair was needed because the chimney started to tilt and I look more someone to coke do it but they would charge me a lot for it. So I found Ben and his team who came and did it for me. He offered a pretty good price and the work is excellent, he was also respectful and walked me through the process of the repair. I would highly recommend them."

"Everything went exceedingly well, especially for the size of the job. The crew was timely, professional, and completed the driveway within a few days. Due to the scope of the project, there were a couple of overages to the estimate, but they were very clear and upfront in explaining what was happening at every step. We are completely satisfied with the quality of work, and would definitely hire this company again."

"Project was suppose to be roof repair . After finding more issues with the building , my builder immediately went to work on repairing the interior damage from the roof as well as replacing some rotted sils. All work was completed a day before the estimated date of completion. That was even including all the extra repairs . Clean up was also done above expectations."

FAQs for brick or stone siding: repair or partially replace projects in Cape Neddick, ME

Stone veneer isn’t a weekend DIY. Even lightweight faux panels are heavy and must be anchored, flashed, and sealed to keep water out. Missteps can lead to cracked stone, leaks, or injuries. A licensed siding contractor arrives with scaffolding, masonry tools, and the know-how to set each piece safely and neatly, giving you a long-lasting, professional finish.

Stone veneer durability is robust when expert installation and proper maintenance are employed. When installed with precision, regularly cleaned, and sealed as required, stone veneer maintains its integrity for 25 to 75 years. Inadequate installation, however, leads to water intrusion and structural issues that compromise its longevity. Consistent upkeep and adherence to quality installation standards ensure decades of reliable performance.

Covering the entire exterior of a home with stone veneer is feasible but comes with a significant cost increase. Full coverage escalates both material and labor expenses due to the additional square footage required. Many homeowners reduce costs by applying stone veneer selectively—such as around entries, foundations, or architectural accents—while still achieving an upscale appearance and enhancing overall curb appeal.

Installing stone veneer over brick or stucco is entirely possible when the underlying surface is stable and properly prepared. The substrate must be clean, dry, and free of any loose material to support a secure application. Additionally, any areas of flaking stucco or deteriorated mortar must be patched and allowed to cure fully before a professional applies the new veneer, ensuring lasting durability.

Stone veneer siding offers a substantial cost advantage compared to full-thickness natural stone. It costs 25% of the price of natural stone because it is manufactured from concrete and lightweight aggregates. This method delivers the genuine appearance of stone while featuring a thinner profile that simplifies shipping, accelerates installation, and consistently reduces material expenses.

For a 250 square foot exterior area, stone siding installation costs range from $9,800 to $18,000, while installing stone veneer costs between $5,000 and $6,000. This clear cost breakdown demonstrates the significant savings achieved with stone veneer, which uses a lighter construction method that minimizes both material and labor expenses. Homeowners benefit from these lower costs while still attaining the attractive look of natural stone.
