"Andy is amazing! He went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, while being mindful of our budget! We are anxious to hire yesteryear again to do some additional work to our home! We had yesteryear redo our whole kitchen, turn our hall closet into a half bath, they did a ton of odds and ends for us, electrical, exterior door install, new floors, plumbing repairs, removed a few walls. We lived in our home during the remodel with my 2 kids and 3 dogs. Yesteryear was very courteous about not making much of a mess and worked great with our schedules! Thank you yesteryear! "I had two wall sections with damage that needed to be repaired with new drywall and paint. Vitaly from Apex Design Build did a beautiful job on the walls -- I'm very impressed. I hope not to need that skill again any time soon, but I will certainly contact them the next time I need another wall repaired -- it's virtually impossible to tell there had been damage. He also adjusted a ceiling fan that had been installed by a friend (a mistake -- use a professional!) and it took him only 15 minutes. I have always been very impressed by how Apex Design Build cleans up everything when they are done working -- and they even took it away with them. Excellent work and in a timely manner for me."

"We contracted Aventus to build a large 2-story addition onto our home to add about 1000 sq ft. Bottom-line, we love the final product and would hire them again. We worked with our own architect in advance of getting bids from contractors so we had a detailed, specific idea of what we wanted done, and could make an apples-to-apples comparison between different bids. Mario, the owner, was very responsive throughout the bidding process, and we revised the bid several times to try to ensure everything was covered and we were on the same page. It was a complicated build involving matching existing floor and ceiling heights, new HVAC and plumbing systems, a steel support beam, and connecting different rooflines. Aventus' final bid was competitive with the other bids, and Mario's communication The highlight of the entire experience, and why we will work with Aventus again, is the network of craftsmen that Mario brought onto the project. Each of the subcontractors did really high quality work. We stayed in our home during the entire renovation, and were impressed with how respectful and thoughtful the workers were throughout construction. We had no concerns with them being around our children, they routinely cleaned and organized the site during different construction phases, and clearly took pride in the quality of their work. In particular, the project manager, Saul Fuentes, was worth his weight in gold. He listened to what was important to us, and it was clear he did not cut any corners in any stage of the process. Our 60+ year old house foundation had settled, sloping more than an inch across some stretches. Saul and his crew were able to build a level surface, connecting the old to the new, and matching up to our floor and ceilings. Working with him felt very collaborative, where we were able to solve design problems together to get things the way we wanted them, while still being secure, to code, and built solid. The flooring and trim carpenter, Jorge, was meticulous in getting finish details perfect and matching up to our existing house. Bumps: The permitting process was agonizingly long. Some of that is undoubtedly bureaucracy from Marion County (compounded by our home being at the edge of a floodplain zone). Permits for our project were subcontracted out by Aventus to Rivera Group, who we were *not* impressed with, and both we and Aventus had to reach out to them multiple times to shepherd things along. There were also some additional costs incurred during building that we didn't become aware of until the end, but we were able to work with Mario in reaching an agreement we felt was fair. These issues are not unique to Aventus, and Mario was transparent about the things they learned during the process too. We would happily work with Aventus again!"

"The job started as a bathroom remodel with just changing tile. After the tile was removed water damage was found and the job went from remodel to rebuild! Tom brought in additional crew to help out and keep things moving along. The guys were very precise and made sure that tile and other things were installed exactly how you wanted. They though of options that we had not considered! They also made sure that water damage would not be a problem again. The final result was beautiful and better then the original bathroom."

"Brent, his crew and subs did a great job. They were prompt courteous, respectful and professional. Brent did a great job solving the electrical issues we had and when the electrician tried to charge us an additional $3000 Brent intervened and told him no then got a new electrician to finish the job. He is excellent in solving problems as they come up and advocating for us."

"Ken inspected the damage carefully, and explained that it was the result of the yard grade which was directing the water toward the house. Water line leaks were also checked for, but were not part of the problem. He explained further that the foundation appeared to still be solid because there was no visible cracking in the brick masonry anywhere near the eroded portion. Thus he proposed that rerouting the drainage by installation of a trough and piping around the corner and down the existing slope at the side of the house should remove the cause. He would then replace the dirt and repair some cracked and broken tile to restore the eroded corner. He recommended further that some downspouts be replaced with large ones. We agreed to the above. He also suggested we consult with a landscaping firm to see what could be done to improve the overall direction of the yard drainage in general; his firm does not undertake that sort of work. We received a detailed description of the work to be done and paid a 50% deposit. The crew arrived as expected and completed the installation in about a day. I believe my husband did have to remind the crew about replacing some of the soil (this was explicit in the description we had been given, which made it easy to explain to them). The crew was neat and cleaned up the yard quite nicely. A day or so later, it rained, and we discovered that the replaced downspouts were leaking at the joins. We called, and Home Experts sent someone out the next day to correct this issue. Overall we were very satisfied."

"Brown Construction built a covered deck off the backside of our house for us. A key component was to work to make it look like it had been apart of the house all along. The pros at Brown Construction were great to work with and offered fantastic improvement ideas to the project. The craftsmen were very detailed in their work and the communication during the project was top notch. The finished product was better than we had originally imagined. We have already discussed other projects with them that we would like to have them come back and work with us on. The whole group at Brown Construction is professional and a great group to work with on any project."
