"12/14/18 Our Polar Bear Energy Solutions relationship… Don & Darlys Recker Ferndale WA Ever since buying our Ferndale house in 2010, we knew its cedar shake roof was in geriatric condition, so faced the daunting challenge to re-roof the house, a task we’ve never taken-on in our 51 years of marriage! I first became aware of Polar Bear via ads aired on KVI am radio, but didn’t give a Mukilteo-based company consideration since our home is located in Whatcom country, a dozen miles below the Canadian border. But when a young man brought Polar Bear’s flyer to our door, I arranged a meeting with Project Consultant Eric H. After making a thorough assessment of our roof, attic, and gutters, Eric patiently and thoroughly laid out what’s involved in a Polar Bear installation from start to finish. He showed us sample roofing materials for our consideration and explaining the pros and cons of each. Big selling points were that fact that Polar Bear installations conform to manufacturer’s specifications, not the less demanding WA state specifications. Polar Bear is one of a minute fraction of roofers who insist on meeting these highest roofing standards. We were pleasantly surprised to learn Polar Bear offers prices competitive with more “local” jobbers. We selected materials with a 50 year transferable guarantee. Noah and Alex decked us out with a complete gutter system in about six hours. It was obvious to me that Noah is satisfied with nothing less than providing the highest quality workmanship in seamless gutters. He’s also a delightful conversationalist! Israel’s four-man crew has worked together for about 5 years and operate like a smooth running sewing machine both in removal of the old roofing, prepping and making any necessary roof repairs, installation, and post-job clean-up. It was a joy to watch Israel’s team tackle the job with enthusiasm, good natured humor, and obvious camaraderie. They weren’t daunted by rainy, windy weather once the water-proof felt layer was securely in place. If anything fell short of Israel’s high standards, it was immediately corrected and/or done over! Production Manager Cory L. did a thorough final inspection of the work and made sure that we were completely pleased with all aspects of the job before signing it off as completed. My endorsement of Polar Bear is unqualified and without any reservations! When the time comes to replace our rapidly aging deck, we already know the firm we’ll hire to do the work!"

"Communication with Randy was excellent form the start. I sent an e-mail and got a call back within a couple of days. In fact, when I hadn't called back after the first time (Randy had left a message), he called me again, which was great. A visit to discuss the job and get an estimate happened that same week. Randy's estimate was very reasonable, so we went ahead an agreed to get the job done the next week. The tractor was delivered a couple of days earlier, and parked in a way that did not get in the way, just as requested. When the day came, everything started very early, and ended early as well (initially it was estimated that it would take the whole day, but it only took till early afternoon). No extra charges, and no surprises of any kind. Also, the gravel delivered was just as Randy described it (color and size), and has started compacting very nicely. <br /> <br /> All in all it was a great job from first communication to completion. Randy made things very simple. I highly recommended Woodys for this type of job, and we'll definitely call them for future re-surfacing of our driveway, as well as for similar jobs."

"I was quoted around 3.5 hours for the job or around $500. I had a competing quote for $700 from pro.com so I went with Shirey. The pro was helpful and friendly, ended up spending almost 5 hours removing trim, getting replacement trim (though the lumber store didn't have the right trim in stock so alas that was wasted time), and fixing the door. During final testing of the fix realized the pocket track screws were tired and the door came right back off again. I would have preferred having options up front before doing the work, but the company contacted me soon after and offered me a refund for the work. Appreciated their honesty and quick assistance, and they were open to helping rectify the situation."

"i needed to add  dry storage space and lighting in large area under house.  moose bid work at very reasonalbe price and committed to a reasonable and near term time frame.  he and one asistant did all the work, including steps down to new area, warehouse lighting, rails and about 500 sq feet of floor on top of new bracing.  it was completed on time .  he was always on time, offered helpful suggestions and avoided creating any parking or blocking issues on on very tight shared driveway. <br />"
