I can understand that certain products are recommended with certain makes of appliances -- but it would have taken 20 seconds to tell us what the recommended products are without having our choices criticized. "The technician arrived on time; he put covers over his boots to protect my floors, and went right to work assessing the problem.  Within minutes he had a diagnosis of the problem and explained what needed to be repaired.  He said the ice maker had stripped a nylon gear and needed to be replaced.  After I agreed to the work and cost, he said he had an ice maker unit on his truck and went to get it.  He had it installed and tested in about 10-12 minutes.  He gave me a discount on the unit's cost and labor rate because I was an existing customer.  He had come out previously to solve a different problem on the same refrigerator/freezer.  He was quick, accurate, courteous, and priced right.  In other words, all the things I feel are important in an in-home repair technician.
