"Wonderful response time, friendly service, great guy - he did a thorough job, explained his work, and cleaned up after himself. He also took time to give us advice about cleaning up the mess we had from the drain backing up, and how to prevent it in the future. Would definitely hire again. Price was super reasonable."

"I had a French drain installed in my existing basement to deal with water seepage issues. The job took 2 1/2 days and was challenging due to having to work around footers that supported the stairs. The crew moved through each obstacle with speed and efficiency. I was also impressed by how clean they were. They even put up plastic walls to keep dust out of the rest of the basement. When they left, the floor was probably cleaner than when they arrived! With all the recent rain I can now hear the water trickling from the new drain pipe into my sump pit. Much better than on my floor..."

"I had a wet basement that had been a problem in my home for years before purchase of my home. The placement of a Sump pump and floor drain tile appears to stop wet foundation walls and floor. The basement now has potential to be nice area of use and living for years ahead. The service is a expensive purchase for homeowner but it is a needed purchase for my home. The finishing job leaves the need with more work if your basement floor was rough from the years of water damage. They did stop any future water damage for my home and it is safe to spend more for more fine finishing. They completed what was contracted."

"I hired Dana Plumbing for a leak under my sink in my bathroom. I believed the leak was due to a bad shut off valve and to avoid for future issues, requested both hot and cold water values be replaced, which cost $185.00. Once replaced, Dana, of Dana Plumbing, determined the leak was actually coming from the sink’s spout. Dana did not have the necessary replacement parts, which I then ordered direct from the manufacturer, Delta Faucet, at no cost. Once the parts arrived, about a week later, Dana came back and fixed the leak at an additional cost of $135.00. I’m won’t use Dana’s services again for the following reasons” 1. Lack if spare parts inventory. Delta Faucets told me the parts were universal for many models of the bathroom faucets and “pretty standard”. I feel it is reasonable to expect Dana Plumbing to have had these parts readily available and probably in his work van. The leaky sink would have been fixed that day and avoided all or at least some of the cost of a second visit. 2. No warranty on repairs. Dana advised that since I provided the parts, there was no warranty even though they were Delta brand parts. If I had known the policy, I would have had Dana order and provide the parts. I didn’t expect a 5-year warranty, but 30-60 days seems reasonable."

"My journey started in early July with sudden water damage from a busted dishwasher hose. The mitigation company came in and did a thorough inspection of the damages. They did a fantastic job testing everywhere there was water damage. Used tools to read and make sure no mold was present or continuously growing. All the floors, walls and ceilings were treated to prevent any more growth. Any cabinets or floors effected by the water damages were removed. The mitigation team moved on to closing off the bathroom and kitchen area to treat it. They put plastic up the kitchen area, installed in commercial dehumidifier and fan to dry up the subfloors for several days. Once that was all buttoned up the construction crew came in and removed my entire kitchen & dining room floors. Few things to suggest if you use them, make sure the reconstruction crew puts plastic over your household belongings and surrounding areas. They sanded down some drywall and all the dust filled my entire home. I had dust covered furniture, appliances, 2nd & 3rd floor filled with dust as well. Our computers got covered with drywall dust and it was terrible for our machines and could wreck them. I suggest next time you close off the area you are working in so the homeowners belonging do not get wrecked. As well as we found a number of subfloor nails sticking straight out, I have two cats and found 3 nails that could have punctured their paw's or went through our shoes if we had stepped on them. The bathroom job went ok as they had to come back 3 times as the light fixture was not working that they replaced. I think those things that could have been addressed prior to leaving the job. They made a clerical error on the dimensions of my flooring and then asked if I would possibly consider paying half to cover the difference on their own error. The flooring was not in stock, so still waiting on it to arrive to hopefully get my home back soon. It has been hard not having a kitchen sink for over 3 1/2 months now. Cabinets finally got rebuilt and are being installed next weekend October 12th,2024. On the plus side they have been very good to communicate with and answer any questions I have had. The company has also been flexible with what times work for you when they need to come in and do the work."

"The following review is for Sean Harris. I had my home built in Maple Grove in 1986. Being widowed, I never had anyone who could keep up on my repairs and/or updates regarding my plumbing issues. Sean came out last fall for the first time and did repair my front yard outside faucet that was dripping. This spring when turning my outside faucets, the front faucet was still dripping. At the time of booking an appointment for Sean to return and repair the faucet, I also booked for him to check out my sump pump (it was the original one from when the house. In the last months, I have had Sean out to replace that outside faucet, replace my sump pump, replace both outdated toilets, and do a repair in the shower in the lower-level bathroom. Each time, Sean gave me the price for each repair/replacement before doing any work. He always very professional and polite. Since I am battling cancer, he was very cautious to wear a mask. I will always call Tim’s Plumbing and request for Sean to return with any future repairs/replacements I will have. I wish I could give him a 10 Star ranking!!!!!!"

"As usual, Chris, the serviceman, was on time and neatly dressed. He called ahead when he was 10 minutes from my house, which is helpful. Chris has been to my house before and has always been professional and efficient. If there is an issue, he will explain it to me. Most recently, he detected a leaking valve, told me about it, then replaced it. The company will send me a notice when it is time to change the filters, which helps me to stay on top of maintenance. Office personnel are helpful with setting appointments on my schedule. I trust this company."

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Carver, MN

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
