"He called me back about 5 minutes after I completed what I needed on Angie’s list. He was very helpful on the phone and was able to do the work the very next morning. He is prompt and very responsive. I can not say enough good things about him. He really did a great job! He is now my go to person for any appliance repair! He fixed the door sensor on my dryer. He saved us a lot of money as he could do the repair"

"Joe and Sean called ahead of time when they were on their way; arrived on time; assessed the issue; went to purchase the part from a local dealer, which it would take 3~5 days if order from the manufacturer; and fixed the problem with one trip. I really appreciated the effort of trying to solve my problem as soon as they can since this is a tenant occupied property."

"Capital Appliance called me right after I applied at Angi for help to repair my GE washer that was squealing whenever water ran in it. Capital Appliance service technician Clint was quick to evaluate the problem and ordered the part. The part arrived the next day and Clint came by and installed it that same day. I’m pleased with the service and I would call them again for any other appliance issues. Thank you Capital Appliance! Sincerely, MJ"

"Very pleased with our experience! Making the appointment was a breeze and the service technician, Sam, arrived and quickly assessed our issue, which turned out to be electrical in nature rather than the appliance (oven) itself. Sam was super knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Hey patiently explained the situation to us several times so that we would know what to tell our electrician. He even help us by sweeping up the food crumbs behind our oven. I'm so thankful that he came to assist us! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! We will use MCE again if we need them in the future."

"Delson is a blessing in disguise. Very articulate, well-kept, well-mannered, and fully aware of what is expected of & on the job. If he consents and takes the job its because he knows how to apply his skill to make the job a worthwhile experience. I have worked with other handymen but none as considerate, being a good listener, paying attention to detail so that the final product has much appeal. His work ethic is his "tell" as is obvious from the pride he places in not only his work but also his profession as he strives for excellence. Our first project was outdoors on the patio and no sooner had he & his crew left, down came the rain. This is always a sign of a "good stranger" for me. The third project was indoors and ain't gonna lie, I was a bit surprised with not only his speed but also the end-product. My hope is that he sticks around to help me & my family transform our home to the home-of-our-dreams. Wishing him sustained-excellence for 2026 et al.."

FAQs for appliance (major electric appliance) installation and replacement projects in Cary, NC

A pro starts by setting the units in place and connecting them to the right plumbing lines, electrical circuits, and, for the dryer, a vent. If the hookups already exist, the job is quick. When they don’t, the installer must add plumbing, outlets, or a vent run, which takes more time and increases the price, especially when the laundry area is located far from existing utilities.

You’ll need the right pros for a tight stacked setup. A natural-gas plumber handles the water lines, drain, and any gas work, while an electrician installs the circuit the dryer needs. If venting or framing changes are required, hire a general contractor to patch the drywall or adjust the framing so that everything meets code and operates safely.

Permanent models need complete plumbing, electrical, and—for dryers—vent hookups. Portable units skip most of that and can run on a standard outlet with a temporary water connection. If your home already has a code-approved hookup, you just connect the new appliances. If not, hire a licensed pro to add the lines and vent so the machines run safely and efficiently.

Relocating a hookup costs between $500 and $5,000, as it may involve installing new outlets, gas lines, vents, and drain pipes. The price increases when the new location is far from existing utilities or requires additional framing and drywall work. Have licensed professionals evaluate your layout, provide a quote for the move, and handle the installation so that every component meets code and works safely.
