"In response to our request for an estimate to repair our hot water heater and to install a pressure reduction valve for the house, Mr. Parrish called promptly to schedule an appointment and then sent a plumber that day. He arrived on time, provided a very reasonable estimate, and was able to perform the work on the spot. We were very pleased."

"The team determined that it was not a clog or roots (another company said that was the cause), but that the connection of the sewer had shifted down and the wasted was not able to continue up the pipe. The replacement cost was much better than expected and job was done e in 4 hours on a very hot afternoon."

"PlumbServe performed as they promised and as you would like all businesses to. They answered the call on a Saturday afternoon and scheduled the repair for Monday morning. The guys called 30 minutes ahead of their arrival and then showed up on time. They completed the repair without any drama, they showed what they did and that everything worked again, and cleaned up before they left. Based on my experience I would confidently refer PlumbServe to family, friends and my real estate clients."

"Edwin was most professional and arrived earlier than I had been promised. He found my problem and repaired it in less than an hour. He checked several other trouble spots and gave me advice about taking care of those. Definitely will use when plumbing demons appear again."

"They did a good job and followed up quickly to install a riser. Good service at a good price. BUT... I was a bit skeptical of their recommendation for a new filter and expensive turbo cleaning of the septic field/components. I declined the recommendation. The septic field isn't showing any signs of a problem (soggy/soft ground). I might regret it, but I suspect they were needlessly upselling me."

Small jobs welcome

"A little high for the items called for (reconnecting plumbing and gas after countertop replacement). Very courteous and good at upselling. Replaced my pressure gauge and relocated the main shut off to the house. Both needed done, but had not considered before recommendation. Ultimately good experience, but spent well more than I was thinking when making initial contact."

"Blanton may be expensive but they prove their worth by having Expert and Professional Technicians and Customer Service! UPDATE: 03/03/19 *** Install, Replace or Repair a Main Sewer Pipe *** Comment: My 49-year-old house was in dire need of a total replumbing and removal of the very old cast iron pipe that was draining very slow. Blantons plumber, Charlie, made a thorough inspection, came up with an acceptable plan and additional recommendations that needed to be done (which I was not able to see and evaluate), did not include unnecessary work or parts. Of course Blantons is more expensive than most companies but they are worth EVERY dollar spent! THANK YOU!!! UPDATE: 03/15/19 *** Waterproof a Basement or Foundation *** Comment: Shawn and his assistant repaired my encapsulation after a plumbing project was completed. They repaired all cuts to the encapsulation, took time to remove pipes and supports that were no longer needed, and even vacuumed to ensure my crawl space was as clean as it was before the plumbing job. THANK YOU!!"

FAQs for sewer main install, replace or repair projects in Cary, NC

When installing a sewer line, you should consider extra costs like tree removal, driveway repairs, or patio resurfacing. Hiring a professional plumber is essential, and you may need additional specialists if landscaping or heavy excavation is involved. Addressing these potential extras up front helps ensure accurate budgeting and prevents sudden cost overruns.

To calculate the length of sewer piping you need, measure the distance from your house to the main sewer line, adding the depth of the city main to this distance. Be sure to account for any obstacles like tree roots or utility lines that may require additional piping.

City sewer lines are installed at a lower elevation to prevent unwanted backflow and water damage. This lower positioning ensures enhanced performance and long-term safety, meeting all technical and safety standards.

With trenchless methods, a plumber inserts a smaller pipe within the existing plumbing, avoiding full excavation. It can be more cost-effective and less disruptive than traditional methods, but it's not suitable for all homes.

Yes, you must secure permission from your local water authority before connecting to a public sewer line. This approval ensures your connection meets all regulatory requirements.

Sewer lines are buried between 18 inches and 8 feet deep, with most systems placed between 18 and 30 inches. In colder regions, pipes are set deeper to remain below the frost line.
