"I have worked with many contractors over the years and H-Bros Excavating is by far the best experience I have ever had. They showed up when they said they would to provide an estimate. They started the job at the time they said they would. They kept me informed of the progress, what was going to be needed, each next step, and met the completion time they projected. When they were almost done, I found that I had not communicated exactly what I needed and it wasn't done quite the way I had intended. After I was clear on what it was I wanted, without a blink, sour word, or any frustration, they simply went to work to give me what I wanted. The entire mistake was mine for not being clear and yet they were happy to fix what was almost done. All of this and the final bill was exactly what I had been originally quoted. You will not fine a more professional or personable company anywhere. Their attention to detail and desire to provide me with what I wanted is unparalled. "Aaron does the monthly weeds and trimmings and the occasional more involved landscaping; gravel install, fix sprinkler leaks, etc. He has shown up on time every time and gets it done. Is he the cheapest? Probably not. He likes to communicate to understand scope and scale of the jobs and will make appropriate recommendations."

"Installation went well. All workmen were courteous and professional. The only problem I had was the lack of communication from the office. An appointment made in the home was not given to the scheduler. A workman called that he was on the way and I had not been notified that the unit needed additional inspection at a time when the outside temperature was warm enough for the testing. These were minor matters. A workman was dispatched quickly when I called about a noise from the unit that I couldn't identify, diagnosed the problem (air leak at intake), and fixed it for me. Overall, I am quite satisfied.

"I like Thornton Plumbing because they are very competent plumbers. They are professional, show up on time, and are clean, tidy and personable contractors. The major issue that I have with Thornton is thier responsiveness. Thornton is owned and run by two brothers, Neal and Brent. Neal is much more responsive than Brent, but Brent is the person who usually answers the phone, and who clients depend on to initiate any activity. Brent sounds very professional on the phone, but when he offers to call you back in XX time (an hour, tomorrow, next week) he doesn't follow through. It was exteremely annoying to be managing a major remodeling job and have to call Thornton Plumbing to follow up to make sure they ordered the parts, or ran the credit card through successfully, or schedule anything and so on. If Brent could organize himself a little better, or have someone else do secretarial duties the company would receive an A from me. The brothers felt guilty about the hassle they put me through, so on the day of my final installation they both came out personally to do the work, which I really appreciated. I haven't had any problems with the new faucets or any of the other work they've done. I'll use them again in the future."
