"This was a great experience. TWD is great on communication, maintaining an online calendar of when each contractor is due to come and updating you by phone if there are any changes. Any hitch ups along the way we’re quickly taken care of and resolved. It is clear that want you smiling when the job is done, and they bend over backwards to make that happen. As in any construction process,it wasn’t flawless, but it darn near was. Mostly I appreciate the integrity and friendliness and they strive for all their contractors to be the same way. Nice job, TWD!"

"Overall, it went great. This was our first remodel and Chris made sure everything ran smoothly. Being an old home, we expected some surprises, but Chris and his team handled every obstacle we encountered (there were a lot!). My wife is very particular and has a very distinct style. Chris was able to take her ideas and a few pictures from Pinterest and transform our rundown, dark old adobe home into a modern, bright and amazing space. Chris does not sub out his work. He has his own guys that are there every day and really care about there work. Big thanks to Josh, Mario, and Edwin. They worked all day, every day, even weekends, to make sure our home was done perfect and on time. I would recommend Rounds Construction to anyone looking for a professional, reliable, talented, and caring contractor for any of your remodeling needs. Best in the valley, period."

"It went wonderful. Josh came out the same day I called him and assessed the mold situation. From there, he made all the arrangements for the mold to be removed and my cabinet restored. He supervised the mold removal and arranged for all the work to be done. I didn't have to worry about a thing. Josh is very professional, friendly and easy to work with. He took all my worries away as I knew I could trust him and his staff. Josh is always accessible by phone or text. He returns all calls and texts promptly and stays on top of things every step of the way. He kept in touch with me and made sure I was happy with every step of the process. He and his staff did an excellent job. My cabinet is now mold free and has been fully restored. It looks beautiful. I would hire Josh and his company in a minute!"

"All went very well. It was an expensive project for us to take on but we are very pleased with the end results. Our contractor had to commute from Queen Creek daily and had family obligations which I am sure affected his work schedule. Exceptionally pleasant to work with throughout the project."

"Donna & Cory came to me thru Angie's list. I chose them because of the number of reviews they had received. We had an emergency - flood in the bathroom, mold, water damage - everything. After insurance arrived we had to gut the bathroom. When Donna came around to scope out the job, she exuded confidence as well as an understanding of how to go about the job from start to finish. When Cory started with the demolishing I could see the care he was taking for our personal belongings, especially carting the trash outside. Each day they ended the workplace was cleaned up. Immediately he started the tiling, I could see his skills and attention to detail were extraordinary. They gave us a time frame and finished on that day. Donna does her fair share of the painting, cleanup and other chores to help Cory. As is with all remodeling projects, there are issues that crop up that are not in the contract, or I changed my mind. This was never an issue with them. I always felt they were doing the job for me, and not just finish and move on. There were 3 times when they had to come back to adjust some minor items, these were all done on time without a hassle. Most importantly, whilst they were on my job site, they concentrated on my job. They did not spread themselves thin with other commitments. I always felt I was #1. When purchasing tiles, paint, baseboard, drywall, etc for the project, Donna purchased enough for my job. A minimal amount left over or returned. For 160sq ft of tile, I have 4sq ft left over, half a gallon of paint and some grout. That's it! My wife and I are super pleased with the end result. Turned out exactly as we had planned. I would recommend them in a heartbeat. A pleasure to work with."

"Recently used this company to help me out with some general projects around my house. They showed up on time and did a great job at a very fair price. Will hire again for other projects and definitely will recommend to others."

FAQs for basement remodeling projects in Casa Grande, AZ

Finishing a basement turns unused square footage into livable space and returns up to 70% of what you spend when you sell your home. Beyond that resale boost, you gain a playroom, home office, or guest suite you can start enjoying right away. That mix of daily comfort and solid return on investment (ROI) makes basement finishing one of the smartest upgrades you can tackle.

In some parts of the country—especially lots on swamps, high water tables, or other wetlands—local codes prohibit basements. Saturated soil puts constant pressure on foundation walls and lets water seep in faster than any sump pump can handle.

If your property sits on waterlogged ground, building on a slab or crawl space is often safer, more affordable, and code-compliant.

Most basements wrap up in four to eight weeks. Framing takes three to five days, with electrical and plumbing rough-ins following over the next week. Add five days for drywall, two to three for flooring, and another week for paint, trim, and punch-list items.

Delays can happen if materials run late or your contractor’s calendar is packed, so build in a little cushion when you plan.

Whether a finished basement counts toward your home’s official square footage depends on local rules. Many areas only include below-grade space if it has code-approved egress, fully finished walls, ceilings, and floors, plus consistent heating.

Check with your local assessor or building department before you start; meeting those standards can affect taxes, appraisals, and resale value.

Building codes require a checklist: dedicated heat and electrical service, a code-approved stairway, and at least one egress window or exterior door. Walls, ceilings, and floors must be fully finished and meet insulation, ventilation, and fire-separation standards. If you add a bedroom, you’ll also need a closet, proper clearances, and safe exits. If you change the layout later, be ready to update the space so every new room still meets today’s code.
