"Excellent customer service and affordable shower and faucet replacement in older home with older pipes and fixtures. Plumbers were on time, took rheir time, explained the process and options and did not try to sell me a bunch of extra parts. They did exactly what I needed and did it great ! They understand older home plumbing. I highly recommend !"

"I contacted five plumbers asking for the estimated cost of replacing two bathroom faucets. Most companies responded by asking me to call them or by charging a fee to provide an estimate in person. Both practices gave the impression the companies were more interested in a sales pitch than quoting a fare market value for the project. BouVaag was the only plumbing company to respond to the initial inquiry with a cost estimate. Their plumber arrived during the scheduled time window, completed the project in a timely manner, and charged within the quoted estimate. An electronic invoice was sent a week later. Prepare to pay with a check as the company charges a fee for processing debit/card payments."

"Josiah was punctual. He did a fine job He replaced a few feet of plastic water lines with copper pipe and secured it to a piece of wood to hold it tight I had noticed when the washer filled with water the plastic water tubing would jump around. This secured it ! He put in a new faucet. It looks very nice. He got it all done in a timely manner. He was very pleasant and explained what needed to be done and we agreed. We also had him flush our water heater too we were very pleased with his work."

"I noticed water damage on the ceiling in master closet above which was the upstairs bathroom. When I called the phone was immediately answered and the rep arranged for a same day visit. 20 mins before arriving I got a text from Jon that they were on their way. They had masks and put on booties. Jon explained the basic charge for diagnostics (which would involve cutting out some portion of drywall on closet ceiling to inspect the pipes behind). The actual cost of repair would depend on what they found. I agreed to the diagnostic which was 256/-. Jon and his partner put up plastic sheets to protect other areas of the closet and I emptied the section they needed access to. They proceeded with the cut and upon inspection saw the (overflow?) drain assembly was leaking. He offered 2 options, a band-aid by replacing a gasket and reseal, which would be 171/- but no warranty on the repair, or replace with new tubular waste and overflow which would be 438/- with a 2 yr warranty. I would have to pay for repairing the cut drywall separately (for which they could refer me to their partner or I could choose anyone else). I opted to go for full replacement. They proceeded and completed the work in about 2 hours. All work was done from that hole cutout in the ceiling. They tested for leaks from running the bath upstairs. Jon taped some plastic across the hole when they were done. After removing the other protective sheeting, he took a swiffer wetjet and cleaned the path from wooden floor in the closet, master bath, master bedroom all the way to the front door. Overall I am very happy with the work and I would call them again for new plumbing issues. They applied an Angieslist coupon for 25/- off my service. wetjet"

"This is a terrific company.... I discovered them on Angie's List and will never use another plumbing company. I left a message via email and received a return call within hours. The estimate was accurate and price more than fair for a job that required a lot of awkward places to get into to find the real root of the problem. I've had them for repairs twice - once a section of plumbing had been incorrectly installed, and another section was leaking due to age. The repair job was quick, took my own crowded schedule into account, and all questions I asked were patiently answered with suggestions for any "next steps". I will definitely use this company again - thanks for the great work!"

"I found water damage in the morning and after considerable investigation, determined that it was from a pinhole leak in a water pipe in the basement.  I had to turn off the main water valve to stop the leak, so I needed to repair this quickly.  I have used Burkhardt Plumbing before with success, so I called them again.  They were able to come that afternoon ( I called around noon) and Dean arrived within the promised time slot.

He fixed the leak, and also advised me that it was probably due to insulation around the pipe which was held in place by small wires.  The insulation around the wire itself was decaying (probably installed 40 years ago) and could have caused an electrostatic charge (?) between the two metals which would corrode the copper pipe.  I appreciated this extra information, so that I can remove the rest of the insulation and prevent future leaks (the insulation was put on to prevent condensation and is no longer necessary).   I thought the cost of the repair was fair.

"Wonderful. Nick, his son and every other crew members or sub-contractors were exceptional. I was always kept up-to-date with what was going on, if there was a delay it was getting the product necessary to finish the task, not because he didn't show up or anything like that. I would hired them in a heartbeat, in fact, they are the only contractoring company I would call. I only have the best people you will not be disappointed. They go above and beyond!!!!"

FAQs for faucets, fixtures and pipes repair or replace projects in Castle-rock, MN

You can absolutely install an outdoor mixture tap outside your home. An outdoor mixer tap blends hot and cold water before it leaves the spout, giving you a steady temperature for rinsing produce, washing hands, or spraying down patio furniture. As long as a plumber runs both hot and cold supply lines and insulates them against freezing, a mixer outside performs just like the one in your kitchen.

Outdoor faucet handles come in twist, lever, or knob varieties, all designed to stand up to the elements while giving you precise flow control. They’re built from tough materials yet offer the same comfort and ease of use as indoor faucets. Ask your plumber for a selection and for recommendations on the best option for your needs.

Start by pinpointing the leak—often it’s a worn washer, a loose packing nut, or a damaged gasket. If it’s salvageable, replace the faulty part; otherwise, you may need a new faucet. Always turn off the water before starting repairs, and test thoroughly when you’re done to confirm you’ve stopped the leak.

You can protect your outdoor faucets during the winter months by shutting off the water supply to the outdoor faucet before freezing weather arrives and by always disconnecting any attached hoses. You can further safeguard your outdoor faucets against ice by insulating the pipe and installing a basic faucet cover.

An outdoor faucet can last 20 years, though budget models may wear out in 10, and high-end ones can push 30 or more. Proper installation, routine upkeep, and careful use help you get the most life from any spigot. Ask your plumber for maintenance and care recommendations to get the most from your outdoor faucet.

Replacing an outdoor spigot yourself might work if you’re handy, but a professional plumber guarantees code compliance, reduces the risk of water damage, and offers peace of mind. If you’re not sure about soldering or local regulations, it’s best to hire a licensed plumber for a lasting fix that you can feel confident in.
