"After moving into an eighty-one year old house in late 2012, we knew we wanted to utilize as much space as the house could offer and decided to renovate a completely unimproved basement.  This was going to be a major project due to uneven concrete floors, low exposed joists, tight stairway, small well-aged windows and antiquated electric and plumbing.  I looked and shopped for a contractor who I felt could deal with all the imperfections as well as one who could maintain a sense of balance and cooperation as the project unfolded. Rob DeLorenzo ended up filling those requirements to a "T".  Long story short, Rob handled the design changes, surprises and "old home" challenges with aplomb and while I would have liked a faster pace, he stayed on a reasonable schedule and on budget.  I am happy to recommend DeLorenzo Contracting mostly because of Rob's three strongest attributes: 1) his pleasant and accommodating demeanor, 2) his fervent desire to produce a quality product, and 3) his broad building skills.  Rob also provided the name of a plumber (R Zeek Plumbing) for the project and after comparison shopping these services I chose his recommendation.  I'm happy with that choice as well, and the two contractors worked well together to accommodate potentially conflicting work actions and scheduling."
