"My husband already left a review for our project, but I wanted to add some additional praise. Alter Construction did an absolutely wonderful job replacing our floors and I highly recommend them! Communication: One of the first things you'll notice with Eli and his team is the tremendous amount of communication. He'll talk you through everything, provide recommendations as necessary, and answer any questions. On top of that, Eli sent us multiple updates every day that we were out of the house to keep us aware of what was happening. Pictures, video, text explanations, and he was always available for a call. It really put my mind at ease that the house was well taken care of in our absence. He ran the outside taps when it froze, kept the house at the temperature we requested, and cleaned up everything after. He also made us aware of little things like how the paint color we picked for baseboards didn't match the existing trim. With everything he did, made sure that we would be happy with the finished product. Quality: The workmanship is outstanding. The tile is cut and laid beautifully, with no hollow sounds when walking. My father used to lay tile back in his day, so trust me when I say it was well inspected after! Our walls have rounded corners, so it was very nice of Alter Construction to cut and round the baseboards instead of leaving them sharp. It looks very clean now. Attention to Detail: What really makes the work stand out is the team's attention to detail. They replaced a section of baseboards that wasn't in the work area to make them match because they were visible from the living room. They were kind enough to reinstall our baby gates at a higher position because the new baseboards were taller than the old ones. They even patched a hole in the carpet of one of our bedrooms with the scraps they pulled up from the living room. This wasn't something that we had asked them to do, they just took the initiative to really make everything nice for us when we came home. Summary: If you're looking for someone to do work on your house, you can't go wrong with Alter Construction. They'll take care of you like family and I promise you won't be disappointed."

Then I asked if he would trim a stuck wooden patio door, reattached some gutters and hang some thick plastic curtains on the outside of a patio. He did all these cheerfully, and along the way, selected about 25 vintage LPs I had as payment for the extras. "I hired Terry to build a 14'x20' lean to box building with no windows on an existing concrete slab. The slab wasn't checked for level and the building went up without addressing the issue. The slab issue was my fault, but I think a professional should check before building on anything. If someone is concerned for their product I think that person should say I can't build on that because it has an issue. I also understand time is money and once he started i was locked in. I am writing this to help the next guy. A slab check would have taken a minute and this is why it was so grievious to me."

"Less than a year after we moved in, we discovered mold (to which we are sensitive) in our "new" kitchen. Patriot Construction knew exactly what to do (hint: it does NOT involve bleach or DIY air samples) to handle the situation safely and also whom to contact regarding the testing. In addition to having the proper equipment, they were really good at explaining the different options and what each one might cost. They also could have taken advantage of the situation and told us that we needed an entirely new kitchen, but instead,their in-house master carpenter was able to build the needed cabinets to match the existing. We highly recommend them and will use them again on future projects."

"Spent a lot of time examining problems with chimney/siding repair in addition to fence project. Then never got estimate emailed to us in a timely manner despite two phone calls requesting it. Finally got a call after a week and then got estimate, which did not include fence project as we were suddenly informed they will no longer be doing fences."
