"Winterized sprinkler system and got an estimate on a leak repair. They provided several options on the repair method and basic price ranges of each. Super knowledgeable and I will definitely have them perform the repair work in the spring."

"I've used this company for a couple of years. The servicemen who work for Schaefer are always knowledgeable and professional and complete the work successfully. However, their charges seem very high and the office staff are not very helpful. Schaefer offers a 6 hour window for a service call and the person who handles the scheduling is not the least bit accommodating if you call and ask for a smaller window. She basically gives you a and quot;take it or leave itand quot; attitude. It's challenging to take a whole day off from work to get your sprinklers turned on. My service man took less than 10 minutes to turn the sprinklers on and another 25 minutes to adjust some sprinkler heads that weren't covering well. The bill for this service was $141. This seems very costly for work that isn't highly technical. I will definitely shop around for this service next time."

"David was the manager from Dean's in charge of the services provided for my lawn. He did not charge more than he quoted me during his free estimate. His work was meticulous. Before aeration started, he had all the underground lines tagged, and made sure not to hit any of them. He completed the work with his team in three visits (including estimate visit, the line blow out did not need to be done until later in the season). When I asked him some questions about how his team had adjusted the valves to my system after the blowout of the water lines, he responded professionally to my e-mail, less than a day after I sent it. David will also be following up in the spring to make sure that all the work he did is on track to deliver the results we are looking for. Not many landscaping services offer viable non-gmo, non-chemical fertilizer and herbicide options, but Dean's Sprinkler Service and Landscaping does. This is important to me, because I don't want to expose my toddler (or the local bee population) to nasty chemicals when he is playing in the yard. Dave also gave good maintenance tips re the proper height to trim the grass to minimize weed infiltration, how often to mow the lawn etc. I fully expect to see my lawn looking a whole lot better this summer, and highly recommend Dean's Sprinkler Service and Landscaping."

"They were wonderful!  They gave me a senior discount, and they did the work.  They did a good job!  The owner and the person that works for him were all here working.  I can't really say enough good about them.  They just did a great job!"

"My sprinkler company neglected to turn off one valve in my front yard in their "winterization" service. This caused water to freeze the burst a pipe in my front yard. <br />I could not get the leak under control. <br />A Perfect Plumber had a person out to my house quickly and within 5 minutes of arriving he figured out that the sprinkler valve was left open. <br />I assumed I would be charged a lot for the call but he charged me less than my water district was going to charge just to come shut off the water to my property. <br />"

"We had several company's come out and give us an estimate to replace the stop and waste valve. They price was all over the place. A lot of company's were just too busy to do the work. I believe they were smaller businesses taking on too many customers. We couldn't find anyone in the spring so we let it go all summer. Frustrated with trying to water the lawn with the watering restrictions we decided to get it done. Tom and a plumber came out the week after we called. My husband and a friend had already dug down 4 feet to find the valve. But it wasn't nearly wide enough for a body to get in and do the work. Done in one day and all my dirt that sat in the driveway all summer was finally back where it belonged. They had to run the sprinklers of course to make sure it worked. I got a call from the office to set up a time to blow out the sprinklers and was told it would be something like $79. I was shocked to think after spending $1165.00 that they would charge me to do that. The only reason they had to blow out the sprinklers was because they needed to make sure the valve worked. The sprinklers were blown out already from the year before. The lady who called had me call Tom who did the job. He did take it off the bill but I'm sure only to make me happy. Thank you Tom. We won't know ourselves how everything works until next year but I'm very confident we won't have any problems. We will be calling them in the spring to check our sprinkler heads. I'm happy to have found a company that I feel I can trust to do the job they say they will do. We will absolutely use them again! <br />"

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Central City, CO

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
