We loaned him some towels and he worked on the dishwasher without complaint while water dripped on him from the ceiling above! Although he didn't have the parts to repair the dishwasher immediately, he was able to order them for less than his original estimate. We paid for parts and labor up front, and he called us to schedule installation a few days later when the parts came in. Ed is very good about being on time and calling about 15 minutes before arrival. He is cheerful and careful to clean up after his work is done. <br />"

They did a superb job in both the creation and installation of the various treatments and we were very satisfied with the results. "Contractor had good communication and the project went well on time as planned. He had to come back same day for a couple of things missed . I would give this an A rating but when I discovered the outside outlet that was replaced was not working I contacted the contractor who did not respond. I tried 3 more times in a year and even saw a coworker down the street and told him about the outlet but nothing was ever done to remedy this and I had to hire someone else to fix what was not wired correctly. I was really disappointed as this could and should have been taken care of. Had it not been for that I would have rated this an A in all categories."

"Michelle was very helpful & knowledgeable. We'd had a 4.8 cubic ft HE Whirlpool Cabrio top load washer w/ no agitator for only 4 1/2 yrs. The parts that hold the drum all broke & the motor was leaking oil. We paid $770 on sale when we purchased it at Best Buy & they weren't overly helpful at the time. Best Buy wanted $100 to walk in the door. Then they'd order parts & it would cost another $100 plus parts & labor for them to come back. I called a local appliance repairman. He let us know that the repair would be almost as much as purchasing a new machine. He also stated that the Cabrio was known for those issues. He recommended purchasing a washer that has an agitator. So, we decided to go Wickford Appliance. We wanted a company we could rely on should we need them in the future. Every experience was top notch, sales (they matched Best Buy's sale price), delivery at my convenience, & removal of my old machine. They only install if you buy new hoses which we didn't need. But, Steve hooked up the drain & moved the new machine just far enough back for us to reach to attach the hoses. Steve & his partner (so sorry I forgot his name), were polite, friendly, & professional. I've been buying appliances for 41 years. Now I remember why I prefer dealing w/ a company that only sells appliances. Forget those big box stores. I will be returning to Wickford Appliance when I need another appliance."

"It’s a great independent local hardware store. I love them. It’s a family owned business and they are always really helpful. They have been in business for years. I just happened to be on their website and found that they did lamp repair. It was inexpensive and they did the work quick. The lamp is fine and it’s just great. To find the time for someone to do lamp repair is not easy. It was great because I was looking at throwing them out versus getting them repaired. To be able to fix a lamp that I like at half price or I have to buy one is tremendous. They are so customer service oriented. I go in there occasionally to pick up some other stuff because I like the size of the store. It’s not too big. One year I went in I had those double cone windows and I needed special ropes for it. I went in there and they had it. I was able to purchase it. They were very helpful and they brought me to where it was. So I could see what it was and decided on the package I wanted. It’s their customer service; I go in and I approach anyone to help me. They move me to the isle what I am looking for. I don’t have to walk all around the store and look for it. They are friendly. It seems they have what I need. There is nothing I dislike about them. I like everything about them on who they are. They are knowledgeable, courteous and they are helpful. I think their competitors are expensive in the other stores. I put in the lamps and they called me the next day saying it was done."
