When they do a drywall/painting job they do it well - I have hired them three times now for work at my home and at a rental property, and both Rick and Tony, the foreman on one job, made sure everything was completed to satisfaction before they left and fixed any issues I had. However, it is really hard to get calls returned unless you are persistent, and while I know it's because they are working hard at other jobs it can still be frustrating at times.

Once you have a job lined up, though, their prices and work are competitive and they try hard to meet your schedule even on short notice. We had a miscommunication about materials on one of the jobs because I didn't schedule right away after the estimate and forgot what we'd discussed, and Rick was very nice about sorting it out. I definitely would hire them again and hope to do so soon for my next project."

I am very pleased with the quality of work that's been done.   I wasn't able to be here for much of the work since my wife and I both work full-time; I gave them a key, and they let themselves in and out and it was never a problem.  They even let my dog out during the day!  I was able to set aside some of the work to do myself and keep the project within our budget.  (For example, he did the priming but I'll do the painting myself as well as install the baseboard trim and some other finish work that I can do on weekends.)

Nelson recommended another guy to do our granite work, and we're thrilled with how that turned out--we got a counter top for the new wet bar in the same granite as our existing kitchen counters; they coordinated with each other for the installation of the bar, the counter top, and the sink/plumbing.Overall, I wouldn't hesitate for a second to hire Pro Builders again.

One of the best parts of working with him was the degree of communication.  He'd let me know a day or two in advance when he needed the new light fixtures or ceramic tile, for example, so I could pick out what I wanted before he was ready to install it.  During the remodel, he came up with several great ideas on how to improve the look of the basement with a tweak here or there. That's very helpful for me since I lack the imagination to do much design work, and he didn't nickle and dime me for additional framing work, etc to make the changes even though it was outside the original scope of work."
