"We had an old paver patio whose wooden borders had decayed and the pavers had sunk around the edges. The cracks between pavers were full of weeds. Kelly put new borders around the patio, masonry blocks with decorative pavers on top. They removed the weeds, powerwashed the dirt from between the pavers, and added polysand to prevent further problems. It looks great and was a lot cheaper than the bids to replace the whole thing. Kelly worked with my wife to select the color for the border, which she greatly appreciated. His crew was conscientious, thorough, and friendly. Our dog really liked them! "

"Needed to replace culvert and cover with asphalt. First - Jason came on-stie to look at the job. He explained the work needed and the process. J&K does not do asphalt but did arrange to have asphalt laid. Was extremely nice to deal only with Jason and not have to worry about finding someone to do the asphalt work separately. All included in one quote. Second â Received quote for the work promptly. Third â J&K Installed the culvert and new asphalt, completed in a reasonable time. Weather delays. Fourth â Found out there was a second problem which caused the old culvert to fail. Needed the drainage ditch cleaned out because over the years it had filled in with dirt. The water was not running as it should. Jason investigated what it would take to correct the issue and made a recommendation. Give us a quote for the work and start immediately. We are VERY satisfied with all the work they have done. Special note -J&K work crew cleaned up after themselves each day. One more thing I need to say about this job site. Exceedingly difficult because of the drainage issue, but Jason and his team stayed the course, took their time and the water is running off. Their work is very professional. Looks WONDERFULL. "A neighbor uses Hemax. We called them the day after the ice storm and asked if they coud shovel our driveway. They said they charge $75 per person per hour and, depending on the size of our driveway, it could take 4-5 persons 4-5 hours. They came on Tuesday with 2 men and a plow. They finished the job in exactly an hour. We got an invoice 3 days later for $450, with no explanation how that figure was arrived at. When I called, I was told it included travel time. I said their company is a half hour from our house so that made no sense. I asked that the charge be reconsidered. When I called again, I was told they have a 6 hour minimum ($75/hr for 6 hours is $450) for any job. No minimum had been mentioned before. I asked for a manager to call me but have heard nothing. They did good work but we won?t use them again."
