"I don't think I could have found a more professional and knowledgeable person on the subject of home improvement. Dan stopped by for an initial assessment of the project, took measurements and recommended Scherer brothers lumber yard over the home improvement stores (I.e. Home Depot, menards, etc) which saved us $500 on our custom door. He removed the old door, installed the new one and storm door in 5 hours. When he finished, he walked through recommended maintenance of the door and certain finishing tips. My one criticism would be a need for a written quote prior to work (since there was a question about the original quote). However, this was not a major issue."

She also replaced the flush valve for another toilet, and verified a third toilet didn't have any issues. She changed out 3 electrical switches to dimmer switches. And she also changed out the ice maker in the bottom freezer. She just stopped back out today to fix it as it was making too much ice. I purchased all items in advance so she could just focus on the installation scope. She's a wonderful, lovely person who does her job well, has a nice demeanor and is safe in your home. I highly recommend her and will be calling her in the future."

Arrived on site at appointed time. Explained procedure and when there would be loud noise from tools.

Prepared door frame for larger door. Installed new door with lever handles. Periodically updated us on progress.

Took normal break and lunch. Informed us when leaving and when returning.

Finished product was so well done that you could not tell the floor transition to LR from BR wasn't re-done.

The new door and hardware was elegant and, and the rooms in the work area were cleaned of any construction residue.

Work crew was very quiet and polite.

Used this company for ramp (wheelchair) in garage 6 months ago with similar results.

"The WORK itself was good. The SCHEDULING was a mess. This was a multi-part project. The door removal went fine. The shower floor painting was scheduled and the date came and went (no-show). I couldn't get a hold of the scheduler for a few days and then find out that the person who was supposed to do the painting was no longer with them, and they "couldn't find anyone who knew how to do this work". It took another couple of weeks and then the painting was done using a subcontractor (at their expense). We THEN had problems with the shower door being incorrect (not their fault), but after waiting several days for the replacement door, it then took another 3 weeks to get the handyman back to finish the installation. I give them credit for making good on their estimate by using the subcon for the painting, but the whole thing just took way too long and we were without our shower for a month."

"Justin and his crew have been amazing to work with every step of the way. 0ur roof was damaged in a storm last summer and we put it off until this year to have it looked at. Justin was extremely responsive and timely in coming to look at it, met with the insurance agent on extremely short notice, and was highly knowledgeable in helping us to understand the insurance process. He and his project manager, Darrin, were always available to answer questions and help us with samples and decisions. While they helped us understand every step, we never felt pushed or talked down to. The communication both ways was always very quick and polite. The entire team that worked on our property was obviously very skilled and took pride in their work. They took extra steps and time to make sure that gardens and landscaping surrounding the house was carefully protected during the tear-off process. That being said, they did work very quickly! At the end of each day, they carefully cleaned up the work area. Based on our many interactions with JJ Home Services, we booked him for several other projects around the house (siding, bathroom remodel, door and window install). He has assembled a great team, and we really appreciate the working relationships we've seen that have been established with all of them."
