"Clark Companies did excellent work on our recent landscaping project. They regraded our yard, installed new landscape edging, and built a high-quality paver patio. "We have a beautiful outcome but we did 75% of the sanding of the deck and 25% of the patio furniture to meet our quality standards. We were told they were meeting industry standards which we did not believe. There were many late arrivals and even two no shows on the part of his subcontractor. The owner was responsive to our complaints but when he saw we could make the deck wood look new by dedicating time to sanding he did concede we were right. Based on the age alone at first we did not feel he agreed it could be achieved. After his subcontractor left we would go over his sanding even of the patio furniture. We were told all boards that needed replacement were part of the estimate but we had to find them, usually after our finger would pop through in order for him to finally change out all of the rotting boards. He took before and after pics, telling us after the fact for advertising, they are not accurate of his subcontractors work. And despite putting in a combined 32 hours of hard labor sanding, as the owners, we were offered no discount for how this all played out. His subcontractor did two things well, power wash and staining. But he used no eye for detail like we had been promised ahead of time. We will consider hiring the owner for future jobs if he does the work himself but never again with a subcontractor."

"For a number of of years we deferred replacing the vinyl siding on our house that was poorly installed and had deteriorated horribly, but after our son and daughter-in-law had their home beautifully redone with Hardiboard siding installed by Craftsmen Home Improvements we knew it was our time. Based on my son’s experience and recommendation, we opted for CHI to install James Hardie siding and soffits and couldn’t be more satisfied with that decision. The work crew (Ray and Luis Nava) were fantastic in all ways; communication, skill and workmanship. They worked tirelessly and efficiently(even in some harsh winter temperatures) and always informed me of issues they encountered with our somewhat “wonky” house 😏 that they addressed with proper solutions. The end result is a stunning transformation of our house that only disappoints us that we didn’t do this sooner! Thank you CHI and especially Ray and his team!"

"The team at United Wall has done another great job for us. This job was even more complicated than our last one because it was for our entire staircase wall, which is both high, curved near the top, and also on stairs. Also, this was probably 15-20 ft long of cracked wall and 7 ft high of cracks. This is excluding the big crack on the other side of the stairs that was also in this project. Same with part of our ceiling. They showed up exactly on time, completed the job on time, and did an incredible job protecting our stairs, preventing dust to other areas, and then cleaning up. They also did a great job protecting the entrance cabinets, walls, and windows. We used them about a year ago and were excited to hire them again for this project. The quality of that work has held up under tremendous load that we’ve put on some of those areas from another construction project that requires bracing that area of the house inside and out. Call them and feel free to call elsewhere, but hire this team if you want quality work done right. I am cross-posting this on the BBB and Google Reviews too."

"We used Beds and Borders for the front steps and surrounding landscape. The way the original steps had been ‘encased’ within the retaining walls made the area impossible to shovel, so in winter the front door was either inaccessible or it was dangerously slippery to reach. Andy and Jesse came up with a gorgeous design that was more of a gentle pathway with landings instead of a standard staircase. It’s surrounded by native plantings and access paths to other areas of the yard. It’s so beautiful! They listened to what we were looking for and took into account our personal preferences on even small things. The crew was great about answering questions I had as the process moved along, and they also checked in with me if they had questions. On top of the excellent end product, the ‘business’ side was also great. Communication, schedule, cost—all as we initially discussed. I don’t hesitate to recommend them and would absolutely hire them again."

"Looks even better than I expected. I figured this would go well after meeting Dave. Knowledgeable, patient, friendly. Then a 14pp proposal with many large drone photos, clear explanations of what to do, and a price for each element. They rebuilt the top 3 layers of chimney brick and the concrete cap, repaired the cracked brick wingwall, and tuckpointed the lot. Replacement bricks matched. Tuckpoint mortar matched. These guy are not just brick masons - they're artists. Crew was courteous and the foreman helpful in guiding me through a couple of minor on-site decisions I needed to make. The final price was just as quoted. Highly recommended!"

"We thought we needed our foundation excavated, sealed and drain-tiled. Kevin came to estimate the work. He spent a full hour inspecting our foundation and landscaping and showed us the drain tile already in place and how the foundation appeared to be sealed. He recommended that we manually do a minimal amount of landscaping to improve the grade and even suggested a company to help with that. He did not request payment for his in depth consultation, but I asked to pay him for his time since he probably saved us $1000 to $3000 in excavation and landscaping costs. This is the second time Kev has really helped us out. Several years ago in a different house he helped us repair a truly cracked, leaking foundation. You can see our grade A review for that work on this site, dated October of 2010."

He also sent several pictures from similar jobs to give me an idea of what the finished project would look like. The team that did the work was polite and cleaned up the work area each evening.
