The jackhammer only took about 10 minutes and was not as loud as I had expected. They were only on my patio for about 45 minutes. They did not waste any time. Despite having the partial excavation to the bottom of the foundation filled by a very heavy downpour, the crew was able to complete the job within the planned timeframe. We live in an area of heavy clay soils in Alexandria, combined with a notorious strata of "marine clay which absorbs significant volumes of water, all of which made for very heavy going.
