Get matched with top vinyl siding install or completely replacers in Chantilly, VA

"Fox Creek Buillders did a great job taking off my old wood siding, replacing multiple rotten window sills outside, wrapping all wood around windows, installing new gutters. Couldn’t be happier with the finished project. Max was great to deal with and helped me so much picking out the siding. Juan and his workers worked so hard and were always there on time. I would definitely recommend them!!!"

"We purchased a property built in 1973 and the wood siding was rotting and in need of either cleaning/restaining or replacement. Originally the plan was to restain and get it looking good again, however knowing that I would be dealing with it again in less than ten years I solicited a request for insulated vinyl siding. After speaking with two or three contractors, we decided to move forward with Stronghold Improvements to update the exterior of the home. The quotes for the scope of work were about the same, however after meeting Craig and discussing the project, it was pretty clear who I would be going with. He and his team completely transformed the home. Along the way, they discovered imperfections such as rotting wood or areas in need of paint and corrected the deficiencies. If I could post a photo or two with this review I would. The house looks amazing. It's not inexpensive, but it is a worthwhile investment. You will not go wrong going with Stronghold Improvements."

"Our review is based on the purchase (part 1) for replacing siding for both side of our home. Jacob L. was very professional, on time, and honest. He knows what he is selling. We learned a lot about our home during his presentation. Before we bought our home we paid for a professional home inspection. We thought our house inspector was very good but he did miss something---the siding on the sides of our home was installed extremely bad. Jacob pointed out so much that we just didn't know and should have be caught during our home inpection. Thanks Jacob!!"

"When I discovered that not just one, but several of our builder-grade windows were failing, we decided to bite the bullet and get all new windows for the house. We also decided to get new doors for a walk-out basement. I asked a neighbor about her experience with one of the brand outfits to which she replied “meh” for one window replacement but told me a friend had a great experience with Star Home Improvements. Roland, the company owner, was responsive from the initial inquiry and throughout the process, responding to all my questions thoroughly and in a timely manner. We discussed options and did some adjusting with the basement walk-out doors. As another customer indicated, no high-pressure sales pitch. We had updates, as expected, because of supply chain issues, but still ended up with the original installation date in January (brrrrrrr). The installation team are an impressive, “well-oiled machine” that work together as if choreographed. The crew manager was responsive when I took him downstairs after I noted a patch of sunlight coming through a small opening at the juncture of the new doors, and he ensured this was remedied having us check it before they left. Roland came by the next day, and we are confident that if we have any issues or need anything addressed, he will be as responsive as he has been from start to finish of the project. I’ve already recommended his company to a realtor friend and actually have another project in mind. Star Home Improvements provides outstanding customer service!"

"Great communication before, during, and after the work was completed. Explained the issues with our previous siding (builder-installed) and how Home Genius would mitigate to prevent a repeat situation. Excellent craftsmanship in the work itself. Would definitely hire again for another project. Would"

"This is the company you go to first!!! My husband has used this company for over 30 years when it was owned by the father and since the son has taken over the business. They are thorough, do outstanding work, stand by their work and the pricing is fair. We’re in our third home and I’m we have used them in all three of our homes. When we bought an older row home (119 years old) in DC in 2013, our first call was to this Company. This was a complete gut job. They modernized the home but preserved the historical integrity of the home. Thirteen years later, the house still looks great. When our basement flooded and the floors needed to be replaces, they came in and completed the work in record time. To this day, whenever friends or family need work done, they are our first recommendation no matter how small a job. We totally trust them and their workers."

"Highly recommend. Roofing Pups executed a flawless and expedited roof replacement with the utmost professionalism from start to finish for a reasonable price. Eric, the technician who handled the initial scoping and quoting, was honest, transparent, and provided clear pricing with no hidden costs. Heather coordinated the project and kept me well informed on scheduling and status leading up to installation day. The crew arrived promptly at 7:00 AM, exactly as communicated by Heather, and conducted themselves in an extremely professional manner. Elvin kept me updated on progress throughout the day, and the team shared real-time progress photos via an active link, which I greatly appreciated. The roof installation and skylight replacements were completed efficiently and with high quality workmanship. The crew thoroughly cleaned up all debris and left not a single nail behind—especially important to me with a 3-year-old toddler at home."

"This is the third time we've had JW do work on our house and we've been extremely happy each time. This time we had vinyl plank flooring laid and several handyman projects that we just never got around to. Alejandro and Alfredo were professional, courteous, and consistently checked in with us as the work was being performed to ensure we were happy. We will definitely hire JW again in the future."

"The new siding and gutters have greatly improved the appearance of our house. Everyone we dealt with was professional from sales to operations and installation. Communication was very good, and any issues were dealt with and corrected in a timely manner. A 5 star would be project that was completed without a hitch."

"Very disappointed! In mid- August we contracted with this firm to replace four large custom size windows- 2 triangles, and 2 trapezoids. They estimated completion in 4-6 weeks. It actually took over 13 weeks with several “tries”. Furthermore, this project ended on a sour note. Just a few days after final installation, I noticed the caulking was already bubbling - dozens of bubbles ¼ - to ½ inch in size. When the owner emailed me asking for referrals, I responded saying that we needed a follow up visit to fix the caulk. That was almost 2 weeks ago and I have not received a reply. The contract required 100% payment on the completion date. As the consumer, that left us helpless when this problem arose just days after 'completion'. In the future, with any home improvement, I will require a 5% hold back for 2-4 weeks in case problems arise. Is the job complete? Not in my mind as the caulk issue has not been fixed. It seems that I will need to handle this myself. The caulk looks awful! Was it a disaster? No but it did not go very well. Needless to say, with all the home improvement contractors in Northern Virginia, I will NOT use this firm again. I will describe this project from three angles. Client interaction: C- The sales rep did not care about the project. We had multiple cases where the glass arrived damaged or was the wrong size. After the first problem, I called the sales rep and he was of no help and never called again to check up. Do not expect this person to be of any help. I then focused on working with the owner and project coordinator. They do not communicate well or frequently. I always felt in the dark. And their response to issues is extremely slow. The attitude seems to be "it is what it is and things will happen when they happen". At one point the owner told me “sometimes things have to get worse before they get better”. Workmanship: B Overall the workers were the best part of the experience. They definitely knew their jobs and worked carefully (see below), skillfully, and quickly. They protected the work area and cleaned up well. They seemed to have adequate tools and skill. I believe the caulk bubbling was due to weather conditions (humidity at end of day, etc.). Hard to say this is exactly their fault. They did one thing wrong from my point of view. Our home exterior is cedar siding. One of the cedar jambs was installed with the rough side showing instead of the smooth side. All the others are smooth side out. Not a big issue but enough to keep them from an "A " rating. Safety: C The windows are fairly high up (10-18 feet) and we noted on the contract the need for special scaffolding. For the first installation attempt, the workers did not bring scaffolding and tried to do the job with a couple of 6 foot step ladders and one extension ladder. It was so dangerous we took pictures and emailed them to the owner. We seriously thought about asking them to stop the project. These windows weigh hundreds of pounds and standing on the very top of a step ladder to handle them is extremely risky. But it turned out they only had one good window to install that day. Two others were the wrong size and a third one was damaged. For the final installation, they came with proper scaffolding. This employer not only put his workers at risk, but put us at risk as well. We could have been held responsible had there been an accident on our property. Job safety was clearly not a priority."
