We are also in the middle of a renovation project for our game room and that included the installation of a sliding glass door where a window was. The door install required that a steel lintel be moved up to accommodate the height of the new door. We were very fortunate that we called Michener Chimney and Masonry to come and have a look. They came out in a timely fashion and gave their estimate to us in just a few days. Once we agreed to get the work done, Jim and his team from Michener began the work quickly. The team was fantastic! The old broken blocks in our foundation were repaired quickly and efficiently. Thank you! The team power washed the side patio above our garage per Gary, the owner's, suggestion. We're grateful Gary suggested removing the old rubber coating on the cement. We ended up finding numerous hairline cracks that were causing water to leak into the basement. After finding the source of the problem, Gabe and Dan returned two weeks later to seal the cracks and paint the patio above the garage with a fresh coat of paint. They were on time, professional and when the job called for more than what was on our agreement, they just did it without asking for more money or time. They did what was right to stabilize my hill. Additionally, the project was challenging as there was a small space to work and a huge hill. They took on the challenge! It looks so fantastic. They scraped up my existing paver patio a little and instead of just turning the bricks over they put in all new.... I also got a whole new paver patio - WOW! "Ab was good to work with as far as communication.  Showed up when promised and worked consecutive days to finish the job.  They worked fast (maybe too fast).  They were pretty sloppy on detail work.  For example, they put a crown molding on but one piece just kind of ended randomly leaving a challenge for me as to how to paint it to make it look right.  Everything ended up costing more than the original estimate and they were not careful to cover stuff as they worked.  My new white fridge ended up covered in black soot from the ceiling that was replaced.   In general, I guess the price was OK but the work was just OK as well.  If you're detail oriented you'll not be satisfied.

"They left us with many repairs and had to hire another company to clean up. The communication was poor and they just showed up without notice to start the project early. They came out for tuck pointing and did not tarp anything so we have mortar spots on the driveway, all over the yard, on the back deck and on the downspouts. We hired another company to clean it up because we did not want them back on the property."

" Brian was helpful and professional throughout.  At one point a crew member did not properly set the gutter prior to breaking for the weekend.  This coincided with a 2-3 inch rainfall that caused leakage and water damage to my sun room and laundry room  below.  Brian apologized and brought in a dry wall installer to repair the damage with no argument.  He took responsibility and immediately addressed the problem.  I could not have asked for more..  He was so good in fact, that I contracted him for a second job, to finish my gables with aluminum and vinyl scallop shakes.  He also provided me contact with another contractor to replace my attic windows as he did not have the time or resources to add this third job this summer. 
I will write a second review for the gables and shakes contract.  I was very pleased with his work.  I recommend Brian Griggle wholeheartedly and will call him again in the future.
