Brandon came out and measured the kitchen and identified a light switch and plug that needed to be repositioned on the wall. Luis came in and did an excellent job installing the new stone. The new sink, faucet, and cooktop were a perfect fit. The area was cleaned very well when the job was finished. All the work was done in a courteous and professional manner by everyone involved in this process. I would definitely recommend this company."

"Robert called when he was enroute and arrived early. Hired him as an electrician for the day. During the day he replaced 2 ceiling fans and replaced 5 outside lights on the porch, garage, and back porch. He replaced a fuse for the ceiling fan, and changed out the front doorbell switch after trouble shooting it. He replaced a smoke detector and he replaced two light fixtures in our bathrooms. After completing all electrical work early, he gladly changed out a faucet in the powder room, and put up new 3-piece bathroom fixtures in all three bathrooms. All in a day's work. "We have a long history with VPS, so Robert was a natural to do this job for us. The work involved several visits over the course of a month or more in coordination with the general contractor who was doing the renovation work and electricians. The work was done to a very high quality standard, as Robert knows his business well and has very high standards. He's also very friendly and a great communicator - when you can reach him. The difficulty in working with VPS is that they are so busy that telephone calls, texts and emails often don't get returned for days, and there were several occasions when VPS didn't show up when they were scheduled to, with no advance notice. This was incredibly frustrating to us and to the general and subs who have to stop work or redirect their efforts when their daily plan, which depended on plumbing work having been done beforehand, was disrupted - often for days at a time. We have been willing so far to chalk this issue up to natural growth pains of a small business, but the frustration level was such that it's not certain we will use VPS again; certainly not without a clear understanding ahead of time as to our expectations regarding communication and scheduling. VPS is best when not needed urgently and for one-visit projects.

SLW Construction has the high principles, competency, dedication and fair prices of small town businesses of the mid-twentieth century when quality of life was greater."

"Pipepals plumbing was 10 stars! Choice was 4 stars. They were timely in assigning the job but I had to keep an eye in the website as notifications did not get pushed via email as expected. They also wouldn't cover all the work recommended by the plumber. Essentially I had a broken pvc in an outside faucet and they wanted him to reuse the faucet instead of replacing it. So I would have had a 1/2 in pipe with 2 connectors...to an old faucet just to save $30. I paid out of pocket so it's right but really? Again plumber was AWESOME. Showed early and returned next day to confirm leak was fixed and patched the holes."
