"We were dealing with a relatively major leak in a very old tub/shower. We're planning on a complete re-do within the next few months, but couldn't survive as is and didn't want an expensive replacement that we'd just rip out in a couple of weeks. He told us he wouldn't leave until he had it fixed and he was a man of his word. He was able to rebuild stems that were at least 30-40 years old. He stopped our leaks and got us fixed so we now have months before we need to get someone in to rehab the bathroom. It's the difference between negotiating a rehab standing on a tightrope and negotiating one with your feet planted firmly on the floor. I have no doubt that he saved us more on the rehab than we payed for the repair. He also installed a new kitchen faucet while he was there. "Brian and his crew were great. Brian came out and gave a great estimate for everything I needed. He was very responsive via email as we worked to schedule a time for his crew to come do the work, which was mainly water tank and heating system maintenance. Brian brought Jim promptly and explained the work. They then pointed out a couple of things that they recommended replacing, one they just included in the original cost estimate and another they added on due to additional parts being purchased. Milltown was one of the only plumbing companies that actually returned my calls, and they were able to come out right away, which was great because it was almost October and was starting to get cold. "Seemed pretty inexperienced (although not sure that is unique these days given staffing shortages). Didn’t really understand the ask about the bathtub drain being clogged. Did correctly fix the shower issue, but when they replaced the fixture they didn’t screw it in all the way so the next few showers let a lot of water into the wall until we realized and fixed. Overall did the job and came in reasonable time but seemed to be very new to the job."
