"I highly recommend Fabiano's Construction. Our experience with him was fantastic from beginning to end. The project was to restore and replace the exterior window frames of our 1830 Trinity. The previous owners had installed new windows on the inside but left the old ones outside for beauty. Many of these old windows were completely rotten at the bottom, barely holding the small panes of glass together. We got three estimates. One builder wanted to replace the old windows with a second set of new ones. Another was going to patch them up with wood filler. Fabiano was the only one who was willing to actually restore them, using green wood for the parts that were beyond salvaging. It was precision carpentry work requiring problem-solving ingenuity. The new frames and sills are green wood plus Azek (PVC), so they should last forever. Although more major restoration was necessary than foreseen, Fabiano and his crew—his son Will and assistant Simon—still finished the job in the predicted time. They were careful, focused, hard-working, and also really nice, honest people. It was a pleasure to meet them, and the result is a stunning improvement to our house both inside and out. Fabiano is responsive and friendly, an expert who takes pride in his work. Incredibly, his price was the lowest the three. We plan to hire him for another project."

"The front entry to our home is over 100 years old and the front door is the original door and over 200 years old. The door was in need of being replaced or repaired. We initially got quotes from some of larger window and door manufactures and they said that the whole entry and door had to be replaced due to the unusual size of the door (74x36). We were a bit distraught because that meant getting rid of the leaded glass windows that surrounded the entry and the door. The entry framing and windows were solid and we only needed to have the door replaced or repaired. We thought there had to be a better alternative besides their estimates were the cost of a midsize luxury car. That is when we found Ian with Best Carpentry. Ian looked at the door and said you can't replace the door due to its history and said that he could repair and repaint the door. To finish the story, Ian restored the door in less than a day and it looks and works beautifully. We are very pleased with the work completed and his professionalism. Most importantly he understood our desire to keep the integrity of the house and made it happen at a very affordable cost to us."

"I can only say great things about JA Drywall. We had quite a complicated chimney repair. From the beginning of the process, this company stood out from all the others. Most companies did not return my calls. One did respond but never showed up to start work. The JA Drywall owner came to our initial appointment on time, evaluated the job and gave us a reasonable and fair estimate. The work crew then came on time and worked really hard for two days to repair the chimney. At each stage they kept us informed of progress. They did a wonderful job, kept the site clean and tidied up once job completed. On top of their excellent work, they are a team of friendly and courteous workers, who also took care of a few other things that needed attention. "LaRosa Building Concepts was absolutely a pleasure to work with. Not only were they reliable and neat, they coordinated their work to coincide with the timing of our new roof install. They evaluated the project many times upfront to make sure that I would be happy with the finished product. Within 3 days, the team had our Pella greenhouse demolished, re-framed with new beams, installed a new 8 ft sliding door and roof structure. The project came out perfect! "Tanya called the same day my email request was submitted and scheduled an estimate appointment. Mike came out on time and thoroughly explained that my gutter fell due to rotted wood and explained very thoroughly what needed to be done to repair the problem so it wouldn't happen again. A few years ago I had all my wood trim capped with aluminum by another vendor and they did an awful job. Some of the fascia capping fell off and I had delayed in getting it repaired. Mike wrote down the color and manufacturer of the capping that needed repaired and said he would have no problems getting the replacement fascia capping in the same color as well as a matching gutter. I had already received several estimated from other construction companies for just the gutter, so I was prepared for sticker shock for the additional cost of the fascia capping. I was beyond shocked when I received the estimate and it was less approximately $50 more than the cheapest estimate which only included the gutter and wood replacement, and no guarantee on the color match. Scheduling was just as easy as getting the estimate appointment. Tanya promptly emailed me the estimate and proposal and the earliest install date (only a matter of days). Mike and his team came out on the day promised, worked fast, and didn't skimp on quality. They cleaned up the mess perfectly and took away all the old material. I need some exterior work done, and didn't hesitate to call Merryfield for that project!

"Had a consultation the day before to outline the fence. When I got home from work the fence was completely installed and they were finishing up the clean up. They did a great job on the install and cleaned up very nicely."

"Overall my experience with this company was fantastic. That is saying allot because I am very particular. Originally they finished the job in three days (which was fast considering what they were asked to do). On the last day I called him with some concerns about where the walls met the trim and Vivaldo talked to him men and had that taken care of saying to me 'the most important thing is that you are happy with the job'. He meant it! After the crews left on a Saturday I found ALLOT of places where the old colors showed through particularly above the trim. However, what sets this company apart in my mind is that when Vivaldo (the current owner) came out to pick up the final check that Monday I showed these spots to him and right there he called back one of his best guys to finish the job out right. It took his guy about 7 hours to do it and he left our house at 8 pm but almost everything was perfect at that point! Only after that when I was happy with the work did Vivaldo ask for the final payment. I really appreciated his professional behaviour, his responsiveness to my concerns and his respect for my time and house. I found the quality of their work to be great int he end and for a reasonable price. The crew was quite considerate. They even took their shoes off while they were painting because I have a no show policy! This surprised me because I never asked them to do that and just assumed I would clean up after they left but it definitely made clean up allot easier! There were a few minor glitches along the way including that the painters used a bathroom on the second floor that I asked them not to use even though there was one of the first floor that they could use and they crated the usual amount of mess. However, what stays in my mind is that even with the bathroom incident when I mentioned this to Vivaldo he took it very seriously and made sure it didn't happen again. Once again, I find that my interactions with Vivaldo and his responsiveness to my concerns are what made the overall experience great. I will definitely use them again next year when I plan to paint the next floor!"
