"Finally set aside enough money to do a deck project on my home. I've unfortunately learned over the last year of large projects that you absolutely get what you pay for with contractors. I'm handy, I do most everything myself, so taking the plunge with contractors is a difficult thing for me to do. I don't have the time, nor energy, to do large projects like a deck, so did some research. Found Stump's. From the very beginning of the project, I was impressed. Responsive to emails, estimate wasn't pushy, gave me options with explanations to why one options was better or worse, and since I'm an idiot with colors and such, they even offered me guidance there. Sold me. I went with a very large deck as I am not planning on ever expanding my home with more rooms and like being outside. Calvin and his crew were excited through the whole project and were very professional. Calvin even took some time to answer my overly interested questions on how the deck is attached to the home, I was basically making sure they did it right. If I'm paying someone to do something I can do, I want to make sure it's how I'd do it, and they passed with flying colors. I felt very comfortable during the whole project, never had to worry that they were doing something wrong, they cleaned up fully, there are no nails or screws in the yard that I have to worry about stepping on, etc. I mean top-notch people to have do work around your home. I can't say enough good things about Stump's, the deck is so solid it doesn't even move if I walk around it TRYING to make it flex. It looks awesome and I am extremely happy I went with them for this project. There's a reason they have 5-star reviews on Google, give them a call and let them show you what they can do, you'll be impressed."

"They showed up in a timely fashion to provide me a quote.  After assessing his cost and the cost of another competitor, and pricing out renting a power washer for 4 hours, I decided to do the work myself.  I had a small enough house that I decided I could get it done and save myself some money.
If I had a bigger house or one that was significantly dirty, I would have utilized their services.

"LaRosa was cooperative and reasonable throughout all conversations and planning including working around a few certain issues (unrelated to the contractor but related to the property). The price (especially compared to larger companies for the same work) was comfortably within my budget and feels appropriate for the amount of work done. The work itself was professional, feels super sturdy, and looks great. It passed inspection with only minimal and negligible concerns (because that's the inspector's job afterall). The one thing I'll have to bring up that makes this a 4-star is that demolition of the old deck was not properly cleaned up and my downstair's neighbor's porch is directly beneath my deck, so what happened was the saw dust was unwittingly tracked through his house and over his new flooring. My neighborhood's homes have a rather unique configuration, so I imagine LaRosa is used to cleaning up last day, but it still meant I had to do the neighborly thing and take care of the dust myself (neighbors' are retired and I'm in my 30s, so I was happy to do it). Just something to keep in mind. I'd still highly recommend LaRosa for the otherwise solid performance and professionalism."
