"My kitchen 😍!!! I am so happy with the transformation of my kitchen and dining room! Bill, Sara and their crew are very impressive: from communication throughout the project to showing up on time, the care and quality of service they provide, it's outstanding! The whole project was a breeze! I would highly recommend them! I am still in owe of the work they did! "

"I've been dealing with Family and Friends for 10 years. They are by far the most knowledgeable and professional builders I have experienced. Billy always has creative suggestions that take any initial ideas to the next level. They're honest; they don't oversell. If it doesn't need to be done, or can be done more inexpensively, they tell you. Genuinely nice people all around."

"Steve explained changes needed due to township requirements and adjusted without changing agreed upon cost. He finished all work as agreed to, and I am completely thrilled and pleased with my new 12x32 foot deck."

"Bad Experience. Bait and Switched us. Told us the no more than cost of our removal verbally and then said he needed $4k to do the design with us and get final firm contract after that. I told him I was skeptical giving him $4k and then have him come back with contract stating it would cost a big percent more. He assured me “he is not that kind of guy”. Then after the design and a smaller scope he wanted to charge us 30% more. Took our money and we now have to start over with a new contractor."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Cheltenham, PA

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
