"Simply put, you will NOT find a better, more honest, more helpful, more easy-to-work-with, reasonably priced contractor than John Lee and his crew at J & K Home Improvement & Restoration! We had a "complicated" set of circumstances when our home was damaged by a storm, last winter. The insurance company sent out an estimator to assess the damage and, after the company recommended J & K Home Improvement & Restoration, I was introduced to John Lee. I eventually learned that John also does estimates for a variety of insurance companies (because his company is so well regarded), and he patiently listened as I described the nuances associated with our house. During our initial consultation, he was able to clearly describe all of the steps that would be necessary and answer all of our questions. Long story short, not only was John able to address EVERY single concern and request that we had regarding the eventual repairs to the house (including roof, siding, and a window upgrade that would have cost much more if we had done it at a later time), but he spent plenty of extra time making sure that everything we had talked about was addressed to our 100% satisfaction! He was also able to persuade the insurance company to cover more complete repairs than was originally specified by the first adjuster! In addition, when we had an electrical "hiccup" associated with all the pounding on the walls, John quickly sent an expert electrician to locate and correct the problem. He absolutely could have passed those charges on to us because the failure wasn't due to any mistake on the part of his crew but, instead, he picked up the unanticipated expense himself. It was truly a pleasure to work with John! He made a difficult situation as easy to manage as possible, and we would strongly recommend J & K Home Improvement & Restoration to anyone who wants to hire a quality contractor that stands behind their work and well-earned reputation!"

"We want to start by saying that Travis did a good job completing the project, and we are happy with the finished product. He even lowered the price when he realized the workload was smaller than originally expected, which we appreciated. Our biggest concern was communication. We were almost always the ones reaching out for updates and to find out when they would be coming. At times, it felt like our project was not a priority. The timeline was also an issue. The project ultimately took about two weeks, whereas we were originally told it would take approximately three days total. Additionally, part of the project involved painting the mantle. When it was first completed, the workmanship was very poor. We contacted Travis, and to his credit, he did make it right by purchasing and painting a new mantle. However, this did add additional time to the project. Lastly, while Travis appears to do good work, we did not see him on-site very often. The two workers he had did not seem experienced "

"Martin wrote up our quotes on the spot and explained each line item. Really appreciated that he doesn’t just quote the jobs, he works them with his crew as well. He designed the job to best serve our needs, which included eliminating our old vents and installing a more efficient ridge vent system. He kept me informed as to timeline and, once on the job, the guys were efficient, took care to protect our property, and did a phenomenal job on the roofs. There was one small issue on a drip guard, and they came back and re-did it to make sure that we were 100% happy with the job - and we are. Greg, a master craftsman, was able to design and enlarge our powder room enough to accommodate a shower. This was a really tough job to do in our 100-year-old home. Once he designed and created the extra space, Greg completely rehabbed and remodeled the enlarged room, adding a shower, new commode, and vanity. It was an extremely complex job requiring plumbing, electrical, and ventilation work plus flooring, painting, and all sorts of carpentry magic. the result is a magnificent new bathroom that will allow us to stay in our cherished home for years to come; all thanks to Greg!"
