"I reached out to Elite Repair 360 on January 30 and was able to schedule a repair. A technician came out on February 2 and repaired my oven. Unfortunately, the repair only lasted about a week before the oven stopped working again. After some difficulty rescheduling, another technician returned and explained that something had been cut too short during the initial repair, which caused the failure. The oven igniter was repaired again, and the oven worked for about two weeks before failing once more. Although the installation process itself seemed fine, the repeated failures were not. I was provided a 90-day warranty, yet both replacement parts failed within 30 days. I contacted the company again and was told that the issue was due to an electrical over-amping problem and that they would not replace the part again beyond their policy. We had that inspected independently, and no such issue was found. In the end, I paid for a service that was not resolved. Would not recommend."

"I will not be using your service. I received a text 45 min before the technician was to arrive just to say that he would come out 2 days later. No thanks, this was very unprofessional. This was my first and last time ever using this company. "

I am married with 2 children. I am a volunteer fire fighter. I serve as a council member for my town. I enjoy doing small projects on the side ( evenings and weekends) I am comfortable doing most handyman work, if it's something beyond my knowledge I would recommend a professional.

FAQs for appliance (major electric appliance) installation and replacement projects in Chesapeake, VA

A pro starts by setting the units in place and connecting them to the right plumbing lines, electrical circuits, and, for the dryer, a vent. If the hookups already exist, the job is quick. When they don’t, the installer must add plumbing, outlets, or a vent run, which takes more time and increases the price, especially when the laundry area is located far from existing utilities.

You’ll need the right pros for a tight stacked setup. A natural-gas plumber handles the water lines, drain, and any gas work, while an electrician installs the circuit the dryer needs. If venting or framing changes are required, hire a general contractor to patch the drywall or adjust the framing so that everything meets code and operates safely.

Permanent models need complete plumbing, electrical, and—for dryers—vent hookups. Portable units skip most of that and can run on a standard outlet with a temporary water connection. If your home already has a code-approved hookup, you just connect the new appliances. If not, hire a licensed pro to add the lines and vent so the machines run safely and efficiently.

Relocating a hookup costs between $500 and $5,000, as it may involve installing new outlets, gas lines, vents, and drain pipes. The price increases when the new location is far from existing utilities or requires additional framing and drywall work. Have licensed professionals evaluate your layout, provide a quote for the move, and handle the installation so that every component meets code and works safely.
