"I had increasing amounts of water coming through my fieldstone foundation into my basement so I called the CrackTeam based on Angie's List feedback and relevance. <br /> John is very professional and very easy to talk to. I explained what was going on and he clearly explained what he proposed to do and how much it would cost. <br /> He then asked me if I had checked my gutters and downspouts. <br /> I said that I had checked and they seemed fine. We scheduled an appointment for him to come out, chip away around the interior crack and seal it with cement. <br /> A week later, thinking about what John had said, I went outside to doublecheck the downspout *during* a rainstorm (not a light rain), I found a vertical seam had split a couple feet of the ground. John had said on the phone that the flexible plastic downspout extensions can make an unbelievable difference so I went to home depot, bought 2, put them on and waited. The next day we had more heavy rain - not a drop in the basement. A week later we had more rain - no water. <br /> So I called John back and told him -mentioning this is not a great time for our family to be spending money.
