"Summary: the job went exceptionally well, and we will likely be hiring Gwyny/Bottoms Up again. I'm sheepish about publishing this report more than a year late, but I hope it helps inform other potential customers.
Gwyny and her team were by far the most approachable and professional of the five separate contractors interviewed for these jobs. Her consultation was eager, friendly, and upfront; she also provided a lot of useful insight and ready answers to questions. The crew she brought to the house consisted of her, a foreperson, and the rest of the crew (perhaps ~4 total crew). During the first visit, Gwyny was on-site much of the time, also providing physical labor alongside the crew; she left the work in the hands of the foreperson, which was fine. Her crew communicated with us clearly and often - we also left the house for a short time, and they worked perfectly well on their own. The crew also worked independently, in parallel, on separate parts of the job. The tree removal was a worrisome point for us, but her explanations and the crew's ability made it very simple, with no incidents or threat of danger to property or person. Her line-item price for tree removal was incidentally the lowest of the lot we interviewed, although her overall price was not; the total quote was about middle-of-the-road. There were no surprises during the job, and the work order and process went exactly as quoted.
During the second visit, the crew was run by the irrigation expert, and Gwyny did not work on-site. However, the process was just as smooth and professional as the first visit. It is significant to note that the plantings are all successful more than a year on, and the irrigation works as planned. I've only made small changes to the emitters to alter the flowrate/water delivery based on personal preference.
We plan to have Gwyny back to help us plant fruit trees on the property. She calls herself the "Outdoor Cleaning Lady", and this was certainly true (our property was put in a pristine state) but she's also much more. Find some time in her schedule and hire her!

"Ric ( Owner of Pro1Day ) did a superb job for us. 
We had long wanted to install a drought resistant lawn, but were hesitant because we saw numerous examples of dreadful 'plop and plant' lawns ( not done by Pro1Day obviously)  in our neighborhood. 
Ric showed up as scheduled with his team with Sammy as his lead man.  They worked hard placing the boulders, showing patience as we tried to get the look we wanted. It took a lot of time and a lot of effort for them, but they were cheerful and did everything we asked.  Sammy showed his considerable experience helping us to place the plants to best effect. 
We are delighted with the result, and have had many compliments from neighbors and people driving by to momentarily stop and tell us how great it looked.  His price was very reasonable, less than what we had planned for.
I recommend Ric and Pro1Day without hesitation, and plan to ask him to do more work for us in the future.

"My husband noticed some termite droppings in one of our windows, so we checked all our windows, sills and ledges, inside and out. Unfortunately we found more droppings. After perusing Angie's List, I decided to give Hydrex a call. Their office set up an appointment for an inspection. Sergio arrived a few days later, right on time. He looked over our property (a triplex) including the garage and electrical panel box in the backyard. He checked all the areas where we'd noticed termite droppings and even pointed out a couple of places that we had missed.
Rather than tent and fumigate, I asked if he could spot treat those areas instead. Sergio came up a few options for us, and we received a full report and estimate a week later. I called Hydrex back. The gals who man the office are very friendly and went out of their way to give me the day I wanted. Sergio arrived right on schedule and proceeded to treat all the areas listed on the report. He was professional, personable and answered all my questions. After he was done, I left the windows open and kept my pets out of the rooms he'd treated for a few hours. There were no ill effects whatsover. I was quite pleased and would recommend Hydrex to others.

"Well, after fighting these gophers 4 times, Catch came out and gassed and poisoned them again. I'm hoping for a good result this time. I think the trick is constant monitoring of this lawn, which will be done. I was unaware that these gophers can migrate through freeways from the neighbors."
