"The front half of our home faces due west and, in the evenings, got incredibly hot due to sunlight pouring in the rough the living, dining, and bedroom windows. We researched on Angie's List and Yelp for some of the top tinting companies and got quotes from a handful of companies. All tinting quotes tend to be in a range based on the quality, strength of the tint and, as it turns out, R and J Tinting offered the most competitive quote for the range of tinting offered. Based on our phone calls, we opted to meet with Jeremy in person to discuss the options. He was timely, courteous, spent a lot of time answering on admittedly numerous questions. At the end of our discussion, we signed the contract but were still unsure of the strength of tinting we wanted to go with so Jeremy installed two sample patches on our large, front window so we could see the difference ourselves throughout the next few days. Knowing nothing about tinting, this really helped us with our selection. Once we finally made our decision, Jeremy was able to get the materials and schedule us within the same week. I worked from home the day of the installation so I a chance to see some of the work being done. Jeremy was professional, great addressing all of my questions during the install, and walked me through the appropriate steps for after care to ensure the tint’s longevity. In the weeks since the install, at the height of summer, the impact of the tinting has been phenomenal. The living room is significantly cooler in the evenings and the sun far less intense. In all, it was a great experience and would be happy to hire again if/when we have more windows to tint. TL/DR: Awesome to work with; would hire again if/when we have more windows to tint."

"They are hard to reach via their online reservation service, but I got them on the phone after a couple of tries. It is a small operation, so the guy in the office is often out working on cars as well. They were very professional and installed the tinting quickly. There was a small problem with some bubbles when I picked it up, and they promptly took it back in the shop and fixed those bubbles and went over the whole back window a second time to be sure, and were very friendly about it. I have used them on my last car 6 years ago, and the tint was perfect even after 6 years. I expect it will be the same this time - I am very pleased with them. I think they are a little more expensive than other shops, but I think it is worth it to have it done right. I did not experience the and quot;sales pitchand quot;, because I knew exactly what I wanted, but their website has lots of good information. It may help to review the options on the website first to learn the differences between the types of film they use. <br />"

"Amazing experience at Skyline Tint. First, they were able to squeeze me in their busy schedule an hour after I called just to get an estimate. Once I arrived, they were very helpful in discussing the various films they carry. I went with the Suntek CTX 50% in front and 35% in the back (VA legal). "Within two weeks of estimate, the installer arrived on-time and professionally attired. The installer arrived with all necessary materials and inquired about the correct Windows to receive installation. Then, he cleaned and installed the film. Upon completion, he reviewed the installation with me and even completely re-installed one window with new film. One window was about 20 feet off the ground. Once on the ladder, he even agreed to replace the battery on my electronic blind control. <br />"

"I dropped by Sonic Sound for an estimate and talked to Kevin, the owner. I agreed with his assessment that the stereo unit needed to be replaced (the car is 10 years old) and that trying to take out the stereo built into the dashboard was not the best approach. He said he had a kit for putting a new stereo into the storage compartment below the current stereo. He showed me the car stereos he had in stock, I picked one, and he said he could do the work while I waited or I could come back and drop off the car another time. He said he could do the job in 90 minutes if I wanted to wait. I agreed and he had the job done in less than 60 minutes. he also showed me briefly how the stereo works and left me with the owner's manual. The kit fit perfectly into the car and the new stereo works great."

"The problem was that the summer's heavy rain storms defeated the storm drains in my neighborhood, causing water damage in basements. I discovered that one of my basement window well drains was backing up, filling the window well above where the vent was. The glass block window prevented water from coming in, but it came in around the vent seals (The vent can be opened and closed).  <br /> Where the drain is backing up is the root problem, but the immediate solution was to seal the vent permanently with sealing caulk, or replace the window with a ventless glass block window. I chose the latter, and, although expensive, it turned out to be the right decision. MD Glass Block is a small, family owned business with experienced installers. Knocking out an existing glass block window is not a pretty job, but these guys knew exactly what they were doing and did a great job. No mess, no fuss. I hardly had to do any cleaning up. They were quick efficient and left no mess. The new window looks good and strong and fits perfectly. Now I just have to find out where the drain is backing up. In the meantime I should be protected from flooding through that window. <br />"
